Hi Seton!

This is just a thought in the dark, but in Taoism, "three" can mean a lot;
Power, Virtue, Integrity
also...
The Way of Man
The Way of Heaven
The Way of the Universe

Since Baschet has done "Les Beaux Jours de Bonsai", "Le Fleuve Sacre", ...who knows...

oh... thank you, jahna! (i hadn't seen your answer.) i also can't help being reminded of asian landscape paintings... including the melting/diffusion of heaven and earth...

Also https://luminous-landscape.com/the-synthesis-of-chinese-landscape-painting-and-photography/ ("Emptiness," "Three Planes). (Always gave me that vibe too. Sorry, mods!)

This is one part of all the joy and education that loving Hermès scarves provide me!
Thank you for posting!

Hi guys,
I just got this scarf as a gift from my mother and I'd like to know if you could kindly share some info about it. I read a bit about about Oliver Kermit and I think this was part of his 2005 retrospective at the MFAH? Is it a rare scarf? Collectable? Any info is truly apreciated. Thank you in advance 😘

I can't upload a picture, so here is a link to one like mine, except mine is yellow:

The right half of the ribbon says: OLIVER KERMIT 2005

Yes, it's tied to the 2005 retrospective.

Hello! Below are photos of my L'Art d'Ecrire, mousseline stole. The colorway is cream with black. Does anyone know when this was released? It seems possibly SS 2005? The last few pages of that season's scarf booklet show the design in mousseline, but do not designate it as being a stole. The details shown (the woman's head and surrounding design) match mine, and those particular details are not part of the 90cm design. Both lead me to conclude the one shown in the booklet is a stole. Any info appreciated!

Hello etoile.

1. What a pretty piece. Do you have more pix of it somewhere in the forum?

2. Your research is somewhat correct. It is from SS2015 and is in the booklet. However, this design is referred to as EXERCICES POUR FORMER LA MAIN. The artist is still Tranchant. Ref # 511230S

Hi seton, thanks so much for the info! I assume you meant SS 2005?

I noticed the different name in the booklet, as well. Is L'Art d'Ecrire a nickname for the design in general? Or perhaps the 90cm is called L'Art d'Ecrire, and the variation in design for the stole warranted the new name, Exercises pour Former la Main?

L'Art d'Ecrire is one of my favorite designs! I have the 90cm in white/navy blue. When I spotted this stole, I was so excited! It's new to me, so no other pics, yet. Just snapped these these this AM, to post here.

My inquiry regarding year of release was partly due to wanting to hand wash, therefore wanting to know how stable the black dye is. Feel a bit more confident doing so, as it's fairly recent. Still feel a bit timid, though…love this one so much!

Yes, I meant 2005. Sorry, typo.

Exercices is a design that was never issued in 90cm square It only came in special forms like your stole and a twilly. I have the twilly. To me, they are two different designs with two different design numbers but YMMV.

Yes, it's tied to the 2005 retrospective.

Thanks a lot, Seton. Is it special, because it's tied to a specific event that happened only once?

I don't know if the Faune et Flore du Texas is something I'll wear as much as my pink Hello Dolly or red Hola Flamenca (I live in Florida), but if it is special and rare, I'll find an occasion to wear it.

I just wanted to know more about it, if anyone is familiar with it.

OK....I feel dumb. But I'm trying to identify one of my older Hermes Scarves.

Written upon it is

le drochki ou la voiture publique d'etat

I THINK I spelled that right.

It looks like various types of horse drawn carriages used during the warmer months.

Can anyone tell me the true name of this lovely?

It's best to just post a pic.
