This is stunning on you!!! Was this alteration from Madison? Or FSH?
I hold back on fitted/tailored H RTW as my store doesn’t have in-house alterations.
Genie, it is so good to "see" you back on the forum!! I have missed your posts. Like you, I tend to shy away from super fitted pieces at H if they require alterations because I had two pieces ruined in the past. I wish my boutique had a trusted, experienced in house tailor. The tux jacket is absolute perfection on our dear 880!

Thank you, Madison Maison tailor who does DHs alterations on bespoke, MtM, and RTW. ETA: I do have a trusted third party outside tailor when I don’t want to wait weeks (for H or Chanel tailoring). For simple things, I may have the boutiques pin the garment. For complex alterations, I have the garment pinned by the actual worker

Thank you kindly for your comment here and H in action. Wanted to specify that all Hermes accts at Madison (home store) and FSH are under DH.

IMO, tailor pays special attention to men who buy bespoke, MtM, and rtw, and so I benefit by association. His SA and former SA are sticklers for fit.

(I’m the +1 and not the client of the acct, but I count our collective prespend as mine for the purposes of TPF reporting;) )

Re the wool pull roule sweater below, posted upthread. Aprox 3800 USD

This is SA’s favorite sweater for fall 2025. Belt is meant to go in the back for a peplum effect which both SA and DH prefer. But, I think some of us might be more inclined to purchase if it can be worn both ways. 34 fit, but DH and SA voted 36 bc of the way the belt pulls. If you have a slim waist, no need to size up. In fact this otherwise runs TTS or a bit large through the shoulders and bust.

With Spring 2025 wool skirt with attached clou de selle buckle; OG shorter length jumping boots; and Togo 30B phw. So more than one touret 😂

ETA: the belt completely detaches from the sweater if you do not want it gathered or if you need to remove it for dry cleaning (my sa loves this) . If it’s removed or unbuckled, the sweater hangs straight and flat.

The sweater is fabulous and I LOVE that the belt is removable for cleaning! I had to send one jacket back to Paris for cleaning due to leather trim and patch pockets and another jacket that is almost exclusively wool aside from a horn toggle and leather 'hook' had to go to a cleaner in Chicago for cleaning for ~$300. NOTE TO SELF: do not buy anymore H items with leather embellishments unless removable.

Whoa! :faint:

Re prior discussions re fit, if you bought the sweater, you could consider asking your SA re punching another belt hole to create a more defined waist

(ETA: or now that I think about it, better to move the buttons attaching the belt so that the buckle stays centered ;) )

Hi all, has anyone tried this micro shirt? Comes in black, white, and green as well. The listing says it’s a slim fit but wondering how much of a slim fit it is. The only other H shirt I’ve tried is the Mosaique ascot collar shirt which the website lists as TTS but it was way too big for me. Thanks!
