Could you please share what sizes are these 2 dresses in? Love both of them on you. 😍 How tall are you if you don’t mind me asking?
That's really kind, thank you. The two dresses are both size 36 although my normal H RTW size is 34. I got the pink tunic in a larger size so that the extra length would allow me to wear it as a dress. The craftan was only available in size 36 when I was at FSH.
I am very short at 5"1 on a good day.
😆

I’m starting to feel annoyed that Hermes cannot seem to do standard (or relatively standard sizing). For relatively ordinary things like a skirt, dress, pants, I’d like to get the right size. For some pricy things, I kind of feel like the store buys a generic size and either hopes someone smaller will like the oversized look or someone bigger will buy it.
Yes - having only one or two sizes of any style available is so annoying. I'm kind of at the point where I'd prefer if they sent each store a full set of samples for each garment in all the sizes available and then let the customer order the correct size in to the store. It would take longer but if they truly can't stock all sizes for immediate sale then to me this would at least be preferable to the current system of having to guess what your correct size will be.

Agree. Sadly there are some specialty coats that were never made in more than one size. And, Madison traditionally as per a few SAs I’ve spoken to, preferred to buy certain silhouettes, sizes, and styles that were guaranteed to sell.

In terms of this collection, I went to my appt today. Here are some of the things I tried on. The cool fringe dress didnt have any side or back zip, or any way to get it on except over my head. Pass. The zip cardigan was a solid YES, but. And, was the one thing that everyone adored (DH picked it out) 3250USD

I did love the mixed media waxed leather trim rouge H skirt, but I don’t have the lifestyle even in my imagination for a 10,600 USD one 😂 Last season there was a matching jacket 12K which was too tight on me, and I don’t have a particularly large chest. I wish Hermes could bring coordinating pieces in at the same time.

The two jackets (navy cashmere two pocket and white — I think cotton with gold leather zip tab — below ran large and my SA and DH thought were too boxy).* I loved the turtleneck, but it was synthetic and apparently bunched up weirdly when I moved :(

Sadly the size 38 shearling did not work on me. And, my SA and SM thought it was honestly too much coat for my height and build. It pouched out below the high zip and was bulky below bc of three fasteners (one of which was broken, so I didn’t even try to close it). Am Awaiting price (I was erroneously told 17K USD but think it’s too low given other prices). It ran big. my SA is still bringing in the 36 for me, but I think I’d prefer a more classic, flattering cut for a shearling
IMG_4743.webpIMG_4744.webp

I love the cropped pants except for the fact that they are too cropped on me, and I’m a shortie. I just have too many cropped pants in my closet already. I just pulled them to try with the tops (the pants are size 34 and too snug; they run TTS and I fit into a 36 in this style).

The plain Gris carbone jeans and plain jacket did not come in yet, but the store ordered a lot. My SA thinks I will be a 36 (I’m a size 36 Chanel; 4-6 US for comparison)

HTH
ETA : I only bought the zip cardigan today. But, my extra oxymore champagne flutes have arrived, so everyone was happy

ETA: *Added close up of the turtleneck and boxy jackets (navy cashmere and white with leather zip tab visible). I don’t have prices

I also tried on a round neck cashmere pullover with ruffled sleeves but the sleeves were way too long

@jbeans , @Bdbunny , the denim leather jacket, perforated ghilly detail was there on the mannequin. Egregious 17K USD. My SA said that the size 38 looked large but I did not ask to try. I believe the 36 is coming soon

To be clear, DH and SA kind of think I look pregnant in the shearling. Which is not a look I’m going for. 😂
And DH is unhappy with how large it is at the shoulder which is why he had someone take a picture of me from the back.
His being very picky on fit is something that I’ve learned to appreciate. It also saves me from mistakes

Here is the cashmere sweater; but unfortunately the ruffled sleeve isn’t visible and pics are blurry :( :

Love the leather zipper skirt on you!

So happy your oxymore glasses FINALLY arrived! What, 3 years later?? 🤪

I tried on a shearling long coat once in Paris and I looked like a chubby Ewok. So that was a no go.

My SA put me down for the $3k denim jacket version. I’ll pass on the $17k version ! Btw I did try on the 38 at the re-see and the sleeves were like 3 inches too long.

Unfortunately I couldn’t make it to the rendezvous thing this time.

Thanks! I would recommend trying the 36 denim jacket as your shoulders, arms, waist are slimmer than mine. . . :)
I’m excited about the flutes. Eight came in so now I have 20. Should be enough ;)

lol ewok. I think that’s actually an H style aesthetic 😂

Thanks @JavaJo! I just couldn’t justify the price re my lifestyle

ETA: btw, the white jacket has a cute attached ribbed cuff detail. Comfy, but imo makes the jacket warmer,
and this is something I’d wear in the shoulder season, so warmer isn’t desirable for my purposes.

Love the Rouge H skirt on you! And perfect match to the zipped cardigan

That last navy jacket (kind of denim jacket styling) is the one I’ve asked my SA to find in a smaller size…the 38 was too big (I’m 5’5” when standing as tall as possible; 145lb). But it looked great with high waisted pants which are my personal preference. I think it was ~5K Euro on the Belgian site.

Hey @880, can you share more about the cropped pant??
TIA!
It’s the same line as the shorts. I think it’s 1350 USD. Hang on I’ll see if I have a pic of the tag somewhere

ETA: my apologies. I squeezed into a size 34 today just as a try on for the sweaters, but if I were to purchase, I’d buy a 38, not a 36, for a more relaxed fit and maximum length. I have purchased a 36 in the two pairs of shorts, and a 38 is comfy, slightly loose, in the carot pant from last season. I’m 5’2” which should give you a sense of the cropped aspect. Here is a recent pic, maybe ten days ago. . . I bought the men’s self belt pants (size 38) instead and had the legs taken in and shortened). So the last two pics are the men’s pants that I got instead.

ETA: thanks @haute okole ! Will celebrate when you are next in town :)
Thanks, @tinkerbell68 ! I hope you get it!

Really enjoyed viewing the Re- Editions collection and grateful for the invitation.
To celebrate a century of RTW, 18 selected designs from each designer through the years have been re- issued, including the very first piece, a men's Nappa jacket.
The prices are reasonable for Hermes and items have been selling out fast. I managed to find something I loved, which my dear SAs and accompanying friend agree, is very me. Each piece is limited but not numbered and carries a tag inside which denotes the year it was first shown.
I was also given a weighty book about this collection, after which I collected my long awaited bag and renewed my wish.
I will only post one general pic now because there are many here who are looking forward to attending this event as it makes it's way to FSH and then around the world.
Mild Spoiler Alert!
