Sleeves are getting shortened and the tailor is letting out some of the darts in the back so I can button it more comfortably, as well as adjusting the shoulder so the fit is perfect. I don’t know if they can let out the darts on the leather jacket though.

I would not buy it if they won’t shorten the sleeves for you. And if you also can’t button it. At that price point, it should fit better, or H should offer to alter it for you so it does.

100% agree with everything you said here. Do you live in Paris? Or do you send your RTW there for tailoring?

No I just shop there. ☺️ The jacket that’s getting tailored is from the Paris store. I could’ve brought it back for alterations at the Madison store but I liked the tailor in Paris and my SA said that particular tailor has a good eye so I wanted them to do it. They will ship it to me when it’s finished, or I might go back to pick it up and make sure the fit is perfect.

What did you decide ?

I’m traveling atm but have an appt next Saturday to try this and the mosqaique belted caftan on. Bringing my husband so that I can get an honest opinion, but he might just say it doesn’t look good just to get me not to buy it 😉

I mean, this jacket is so elegant that I'm thinking of getting it in black too. But when I tried it in the etoupe color last month, it didn’t really suit me, or at least I don’t think it did... (If I’m not mistaken, @880 found the black one on NY sale. Fingers crossed for the Paris sale then. lol)

I am not sure about sleeves.

It looks great, @rumes . I like it on you in etoupe. I got mine at the sample sale in 2022 for around 2400USD. It was an older model from when these jackets were significantly lower priced.
