I saw this thread a few days ago and was very inspired by some of the creations, so I decided to make my own. Armed with H ribbons, a few essentials, a youtube tutorial and my very own hands (everything was hand sewn from start to finish), this was the fruit of a very boring Saturday night [emoji6]

Fantastic! My boring Saturday nights never yield anything like that! Inspiring, thank you for sharing.

Thank you! My boring Saturday nights were never productive either until this little DIY came along. Who knew H ribbons can be so useful?!

Wonderful! If these were sold at an H boutique I have no doubt they'd be gone in an instant!

Thank you so much! Very flattered [emoji8]

Fantastic!!

Thank you.
If I attempt this I'll likely sew the ribbons down on a foundation fabric or iron them onto some type of stabilizer/ interfacing.

Great idea! I did encounter a bit of difficulty when doing the weave, so sewing it on a fabric might make it much easier. Please do post photos when you decide to make it, would love to see [emoji4]

I'm still trying to decide how to proceed and my zippers should arrive by Friday. There are temporary stabilizers that can be ironed on (and washed out). I kind of like the idea of some movement of the ribbons...as long as it's lined it should be ok, I believe. How are you enjoying yours? Do the ribbons slide a bit? Is this a good thing or would you prefer them not to have any movement?

I didn't know about the temporary stabilizers! That sounds fantastic! Yes the ribbons do slide a bit. I actually would like them to have less movement. Guess it really depends on how tight the weave is. But yes, as long as it's lined it should be fine. Saves us the trouble of things falling off the pouch haha [emoji6]
