Star3777, please do your reveals of your lovely exotics. Great eye candy...just ignore the peeps who are so quick to judge and put a small cloud over our little sunshine orange world here. I challenge them to not look if they can! LOL

Star3777, yes please do reveal your beautiful bags.I am sure many of us love to see your reveal. for many of people here who does not have a store near by and for many who someday can have thier dream eotics...they definitely appreciated. I, for one, again, like to show my appreciation here, thanks for all those reveal threads. I enjoyed and learnt from them.:flowers:

4. Put stuff in it to check if it fit (wallet, agenda etc)NO

5. Put stuff in it and took pictures of it and posted on tPF. NO but questionable.

6. Took it out the front door to take pictures in the yard YES

7. Took it out the front door, with stuff in it to take shopping one time YES!

8. Your pet sat next to it while you were doing a reveal. NO. Unless the pet sat in it.

9. You pet sat in it / you hung it around your pet's neck, but you never wore it YES!

This has been an interesting thread. For me, if I inspect the purse when buying it, and see nothing untoward in the condition, and I want this particular purse, I don't care where it's been.

I appreciate Hermes' willingness to accept returns. Making an 8-10k mistake because of color or size isn't an acceptable risk to me.

^^ CG, whenever I am not sure about a bag, I would ask my SA to hold it at the store for me whilst I consider. And I would go back to the store a couple more times, if I have to, and then decide. I like others to be considerate towards me and not make me feel like the bag I have in my hands is a reject or return, and I therefore I am. I think the next person who gets offered the bag, needs to feel super about it.

I am glad that I have a H store locally. In states without H stores, or where distance becomes an issue, I can see that my scenario wouldn't apply. But I still ask for shoppers to be considerate.

 Thanks LQ for putting it so well. Star I don't have any exotics and I love coming here and admiring other people's, and I certainly appreciate all the nice reveals that have lifted up my spirit during this grim environment! If you want to, please pm me with your pix LOL! Some of us REALLY REALLY want some eye candies!! :flowers:

I find it funny that in 17 pages of discussion only 1 person has said that they have returned a bag. Funny that.........

That 1 person was myself, for the reasons I briefly explained. Apart from the fact, it is a legal right in the UK to return anything within reason. I feel that as long as you are respectful, there is no harm done.

I had a little look through past threads and actually a very very very large number of members have returned items, bags, shoes, scarves, shawls etc. Every store is different and different policies apply.

As for the dim sum, I found that thread and it made very interesting reading........

Dear SJ: I returned the Jyp too. You are not alone.

^^ I have made ONE return. It was a Cyclamen Epsom TPM Evelyne. It was too loud for me, but the SAs at the H store (not my regular) raved about how lovely it looked on me. At that time, I didn't know I could have the SA hold something for me until I decide. I brought it home. Didn't even open the box. Next day, went back to my regular store and told the SM what happened. I was then offered a Barenia for exchange. That, I used, and is one of my fun bags.

Sorry I forgot returning bags is not good!! :bagslap::noggin:

:) My conscience is clear. At the end of the day, a person has to do what is best for them and whatever helps them sleep at night. I don't feel bad about returning the bag. I had it less than 24 hours and of those, I was asleep for 8.

Passing judgment without complete information is what bugs me.

You got it home and didn't open it? Not even to make sure you like it in different lighting?? I find that my mirror and the option to try out a bag with my shoes and some clothes helps me tremendously in making a selection.
