Hi! Does anyone know how long it takes for spa to provide a quotation for boot repair?

My store had to send the boots off to Paris for redying...I haven't heard back yet. Not sure if it's normal to wait weeks to hear back. This is the first time I'm sending something in for spa. TIA!

I would suggest asking your SA or seeing if your SA could get in contact with After Sales about that. The longest I have had to wait for a RTW repair quote was about six weeks. I think it just depends on how backed up they are in Paris, and considering that now it’s August and much of the country is on holiday, it may take even longer.

Thank you! Even my SA was wondering if I heard back from after sales since they left a note on the ticket to contact me for a quote before doing the repairs. I'll just wait. :)

I just bought a white Birkin sellier in Epsom and noticed that the bag has some orange stain some places. I don’t know how I got it. Any tips to how to remove?
Personally, I would just send the bag to Paris. I know it is not always ideal, but they will know how best to handle the situation. White bags are hard to noticeably remove stains from, so usually Spa will clean those spots and then re-dye over them.

A late response and I did not see any other replies.
These items can be replaced.
It is nice to have a bag complete
BUT
have you noticed how few owners actually use them?
fearing the half-moon mark that can appear caused by rubbing that can appear on the leather.

I am pleased to have them with my HAC and KSaD
but I never use them, primarily for that reason.
Unless you are going to lock the bag for security,
where would you put the lock? on the turnlock it would get in the way of the sangles; hanging from the handle rings - abrasion fear.
Thank you for your kind answer! I also like them more for the look than for use - besides the strap which I sometimes find quite useful. And also for the feeling of having the complete set.

After a 3.5 month wait, today I picked up my lindy at the boutique that was just returned from France for repairs. One of the zipper pulls ripped but ended up being replaced with perfectly matched brand new pulls. I guess it was to match up the leather which was new & stiff compared to the original pulls which were softer & broken in. Also fixed a small colour rub at the back of the bag. Pleasantly surprised there was no charge. Is this a new policy? The bag was purchased at the boutique.

Hi everyone, I am interested in purchasing a Kelly 28. The bag that I would like to purchase appears to have some structure wear and corner wear. Is this something that the Hermes Spa can repair?

Also, I haven't found an SA that I've formed a good relationship with yet, can I take it to the spa without using an SA? How do I even make an appointment at the spa without an SA, do I need an appointment? This would be for either the Palo Alto or San Francisco store.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

As far as structural wear, the biggest change Spa could make would be to replace the gussets. This would definitely make a difference to the structure of the bag. The corner wear will not be as seamless of a repair, since it appears the leather grain has rubbed off. Spa would likely just seal and paint over the areas of corner wear, which would not be a perfect fix, but it would at least make the damage less visible.

Having an SA is not necessary for sending a bag to Spa, but it can sometimes expedite things. This process will largely be handled by an After Sales Representative. You should be able to call or email your store of choice prior to visiting in order to schedule an appointment.

if you consider a potential purchase might be in need of some considerable restoration, the price should reflect that plus a bit more. Unless you really know what you are doing, a bag in need would be best left alone.

Dropped off my 2005 CDC Rouge H B35 at Hermes in DC on 3/31 for cleaning, corner repaint and anything else deemed necessary.

Quote received 4/7 which included replacement of the clasp and re-glue of the handles for $760 (see photo of quote).

Email received that it was finished 5/10. I visit DC quarterly so picked it up over this past weekend. SA and I were both astonished….it looks BRAND NEW.
