Does the H spa recolor or refurbish color of bags? I just bought a bag off Vestiaire and got it authenticated from bababebi who told me that the color has been refurbished or recolored but she’s not sure if H did it. Has anyone gotten a bag recolored or color refurbished by the spa? Seller didn’t disclose but the description aaid that the hardware was replaced and the bag went to the spa.

I think it looks great! It probably went to H spa but to be sure you would have to send it on. Do you really need to?

Box kelly longue wallet. All hardware replaced; leather spa; looks better than new
It took a while. All repairs suggested by H and approved by me (written estimate) prior to start of work.
I cannot find my before pic, but Hw and box leather was similar to my blue gray box K28 ( second pic)
that I will send to spa when I get around to it. Although some might consider the spa and replacement hw price
for a wallet to be a bit high, during the craze for smaller bags, I used this wallet as a clutch, so got significant
cost per wear :)

ETA: it came back with plastic on the hw and a dustbag, for those who are interested in this type of thing

Some posts inquired how long it took for the PHW to wear down. I have no idea. All I can say is one day it seemed fine. The next time I took it out, I was like, wow, what happened.

Have no idea about your shoes, sorry to hear! But, your puppy is adorable!! :love: !! And, she looks very remorseful and repentant!

ETA - If you paid with a credit card, check to see if you have "purchase protection". I have coverage for this type of situation with my Amex. :flowers:

I’ve recently moved and found that a lot of my older exotic b30s have molded on the inside and needs thorough cleaning. I’ve misplaced CITES certificates for a lot of them and really can’t remember where I got some of them (some were purchased by friends over a decade ago in other countries, some where through resellers). Hermes in my country cannot service exotics that were purchased abroad/not declared when the bag entered the country due to import/export issues. Does anyone have any experience with sending exotics to Hermes spa without CITES? Many thanks in advance!

It is my understanding that Hermes spa does not work on interiors, so your question will not help your present situation.
You need to find someone somewhere to refurbish your bags within your own country.
Hermes might need to send any bags to Paris for spa. This means importing to and exporting from France, hence the need for cites.

Hi,
I’m interested in purchasing this Kelly 32, but 2 things concern me. One being the leather looks like it might be either very dry or cracked. I can’t tell. And two there’s some other type of marking towards the bottom. Is it worth purchasing? It’s the only thing I’ve found around my price point. Most I see are 5k +. I’d love to hear your thoughts :smile:

Dryness is very difficult to tell from these photographs.
The bag only has single ring handle fixing, so it is quite old, but that is not necessarily bad.
There is no point in conjecture with regards to the mark at the bottom.
Ask the seller directly what it is and also request a clearer photograph of that area.
I know from experience that black is very difficult to photograph.
Of greater concern might be the handle.
The condition around the right-hand fixing needs close examination.
Remember a replacement will cost 1000 (choose your currency)
However attractive the price point may be, the minute you add spa and/or spa recommended repairs, you might wish you had held out for an example which did not have any obvious concerns.

Thanks for your input! I’ll think more about it. I’ve been watching the Kelly 32 for awhile now, and none have come up around my price point except now. Usually the other ones I see are in bad shape like cracking on the leather and or handles. This still seems minimal to me. I don’t mind replacing the handle down the line. As long as it’s useable and good condition!

Hi! I’m hoping to get some advice from you all experts :) I am in the US and dropped my Birkin off for a repair / spa last October which was shipped to Paris. When I checked the status online it says it was shipped to my local boutique on 4/20. Do you know how long it typically takes to get to the boutique here in the states? I know I can always ask them about it but I don’t have a designated SA and wanted to get your advice first :) thank you!
