Someone created this video talking about a Chanel bag but you can easily substitute Birkin in its place (some posters even reference Hermes in the comments). They talk about a 'price increase' which seems relevant to this thread.

Too funny! A "friend" already sent this to my DH. They were over the house the day my SA sent a fruit basket, so when I asked why he sent it to him, he said 2 words - Fruit Basket. What could I say to that?

My Local store's director hinted that the average increase is 8% (hint hint, the new price for 90cm silk scarf will be $415... In the US). Leather goods, jewelry and scarves are getting different percentages and at different time. Today, she said the first group of increase is less than two weeks away. Also, most stores have not received much new inventory. So chances are they won't get the 2012 goodies until after the increase. :(

The store director is leaving for Paris soon. I suppose it's a buying trip? So I assume the new stuff should arrive in 2 or 3 weeks... Which puts it after the increase.
