I rang Hermes customer service in Paris last week, they said the first day of the sale is 22 June. They said they weren't sure yet if the sale would last 3 or 4 days. Best selection (and longest lines!) are the first day. I will be getting in line at about 6 am on the first day, if there are any other early birds I would love to hear from you!

Just to add:

I went in January and I thought it was great. Scarves and ties were approx 40-45% off everything else I saw was a flat 50% off. There were lots of scarves, ties, gloves, RTW and some shoes, jewellery and homewares. If you are after a 90 or 140 scarf then there was a lot to choose from last time (I bought nine 90 cm silk scarves, some as gifts and some to sell to friends, and I bought a beautiful men's 140 for myself). I saw no bags nor belts whatsoever. Stock is replenished during the sale but selection is best on first day and they don't do further discounts as the sale goes on. Queues are long and numerous (there are separate queues for scarves and jewellery), especially on the first day. However if you are a Hermès addict (like me) it is totally worth it. I already booked the day off work, I come on the Eurostar from London the night before, I have a hotel room near the Palais des Congres and will get in line very early. My DH is going to take advantage of the hotel, however he hates shopping and will be hitting a museum instead. I'm hoping to score more ties (I bought 8 last time[emoji6]), maybe another 140 cashmere/silk (perhaps in a more adventurous pattern than the one I bought last time) and am hoping they will have men's clic H bracelets this time (last time they had women's clic Hs but none of the men's version).

i have been going since 2009 and only twice it did not coincide with the start of sales in france - for june. it is january sale that usually second or even third week.
last year's sale was so miserable though, i find it not worth the trip.

Oh no! Do you still remember what areas they lacked stock?

I was thinking about taking the early morning train, shop all day, then come back to rotterdam in the evening :P

Do we know for sure it is on the 22nd? I really want to book my train tickets before prices go up.

Count me in. Perhaps we could do part time lining?

(is it noticable, that I am German?)

P.S.: I have the same dog as you

HAHA! Count me in! I was going to drag my husband with me and have him stand in line at the Palais while I hop over to FSH to see if I can score a B or K. That's super wishful thinking!

Which one? The eskimo or the husky?

Just a note of caution about having someone else line up for you - at least at the front of the line on Day 1 - people are very aggressive about perceived "line jumping". One if our friends got separated from us heading in and when she came to join us less than 30 minutes later there was such a fuss that she was unable to join us in line. Other friends who came up to simply say hello were confronted. Don't know if this is a feature of being up front or not, but it happened both times i went to a Paris sale.

That said, if you are in line for a bit and one of your group goes down for coffee, no I've seems to mind. (Thank goodness!)

Think of it as competitive shopping!
