Probably depends on whether you know an SA there/timeliness of a shipment that just came in. If it's not a far trip for you, then I think it's worth a shot to try to ask in person. You can also try the SF store, since they are a bigger store.
I’m in the north bay, about an hour and a half drive. I’ve never purchased from Hermes so I’m starting from scratch. I have no problem going to the store, but would rather know if it was a sure thing vs having to drive or take the ferry somewhere and leave empty handed.

It's really luck of the draw and timing. It might be closer for you to go to SF? It's never a sure thing with H (or with life) until you establish a relationship with an SA and they can hold stuff for you until you can get to the store. It might be easier for you to purchase on fashionphile, etc. or try your luck with the website.

I worry about buying second hand because I don’t want to get fooled that it’s a fake. Do you think if I call and inquire about it they would even bother answering?

I don’t believe stores discuss leather inventory with non-clients over the phone. Almost certainly they will admit they can’t disclose the info or they’ll take the easy way out and just tell you there is no stock without even checking. Best advice is to make the trip to make the acquaintance with an SA but be fully prepared to leave empty handed this trip. However, while there let them know what you are looking for and ask for the SAs contact info. For a non-mini evelyne, they are somewhat likely to be willing to notify you when available stock does arrive.

Was going to say the same - for many years it has been SF policy not to discuss leather inventory over the phone (unless you are talking to your SA).

I would do as acrowcounted suggested and go to see the store, check out SAs and merchandise. Maybe a nice lunch, too? The Real Real has a store in the former temp location of H on Post St, so you could swing through there, too, just to check things out. Good luck!

Hello, everyone!

I am hoping I can get some advice. I live in the Bay Area and I used to travel to NY quite a lot pre-Covid. I established a buying history at a boutique there (scored a qb there a few years back); however, I recently learned that my SA left Hermes. She was my second SA as the previous one also left Hermes. I am thinking about establishing a new relationship with an SA in the PA or SF store as I will be able to stop in as often as I want rather than waiting to fly to NY. I know that I may have to start over again with my purchasing history here in the new boutique.

What do you think? Should I reach out to the NY boutique and see if I can get another SA and continue on there or establish a new one here? I know the importance of establishing a great relationship with your SA, but I feel that I may not be able to do so given the distance and less frequency of traveling. I have a list of things to purchase and I hope I can establish a new relationship quickly here. Will switching impact my chances of being offered a qb? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I think you could tentatively reach out to NY and also see if you click with someone in SF in order to keep options open. I’d hate to have you start over entirely. Having said that, when my NY SA left, I literally stopped shopping the boutique for years bc it didn’t seem fun anymore, so I can see you wanting to start fresh. It seems that SF might be easier than PA, simply from reading the threads as an outsider. JMO Though

I’ve heard one of the top sales has left the store yesterday and was effective immediately, does anyone know any inside story?
I think this was my SA! I was just chatting with her on Wednesday so imagine my shock/surprise when I got a text the next day stating she’s no longer with the company. If she was planning on quitting I’m pretty sure she would’ve told me on Wednesday so I was wondering if H fires their associates. I was so sad since I’ve only worked with her the past four years…
