Hello, everyone!

I am hoping I can get some advice. I live in the Bay Area and I used to travel to NY quite a lot pre-Covid. I established a buying history at a boutique there (scored a qb there a few years back); however, I recently learned that my SA left Hermes. She was my second SA as the previous one also left Hermes. I am thinking about establishing a new relationship with an SA in the PA or SF store as I will be able to stop in as often as I want rather than waiting to fly to NY. I know that I may have to start over again with my purchasing history here in the new boutique.

What do you think? Should I reach out to the NY boutique and see if I can get another SA and continue on there or establish a new one here? I know the importance of establishing a great relationship with your SA, but I feel that I may not be able to do so given the distance and less frequency of traveling. I have a list of things to purchase and I hope I can establish a new relationship quickly here. Will switching impact my chances of being offered a qb? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I’m not an expert.. but if you have to restart your spending with a new SA, I feel like you should do one closer to home esp if you don’t think you’ll be traveling back to NY as frequently. I’m not sure if having a spend history at the same boutique would help with another SA since you will still have to do the same pre spend with them anyway. I don’t think switching boutiques will affect you getting offered a qb since I’m sure tons of people switch between SF & PA

This makes a lot of sense. Thank you for this!

I agree with what was said but I will also say though that there might be some expectation resetting since there is more demand in the Bay Area market so bags etc. are not very easy to come by. I’ve seen so many people stop by the store and walk out empty handed because of the limited supply.

What would be the likelihood of being able to get an Evelyne here by walking in? Not a mini, but the normal size.
Probably depends on whether you know an SA there/timeliness of a shipment that just came in. If it's not a far trip for you, then I think it's worth a shot to try to ask in person. You can also try the SF store, since they are a bigger store.
