My SA in San Francisco told me a week ago that the Palo Alto opening is likely to be a 2017 event, not 2016.

I guess they are behind. I thought they would try to open before holiday season as it makes sense
Where is it going to be then? I did not realize there was more to the project than the stores going in at the old Bloomingdales location.
There is going to be a new group of high end stores - presumably including H - near NM. Sounds consistent with the earlier post that groundbreaking would be in April 2016.

Has anyone heard anything? I had some bad experiences at Neimans in Palo Alto so even when this Hermes opens I still may end up visiting sf more as the vibe up there is so much more laid back then in Palo Alto.
I haven't heard anything, but the expansion and renovation at Stanford shopping center is moving slowly.
They have now announced many of the new tenants , but Hermes has not been announced.

I have heard the same thing that once J.Crew, Victoria Secrets, and Free People move to the new buildings, the renovations will begin bringing in a few new luxury retailers. Cartier is hiring all sorts of positions for a new Stanford boutique on the Richemont site, and I know Hermes has acknowledged the opening of a Stanford boutique as per a San Francisco Chronicle article but no time frame was given. All moving is expecting to finish by May 2016, so I assume a redevelopment/groundbreaking summer 2016.
I would expect there to be a special item inspired by the area. I was recently at the Dallas Hermes expansion opening party and they reissued the "Faune et Flore du Texas" scarf pattern in celebration.
I heard today store has been delayed by a year. They are starting next April and opening end of next year
