Ok...Unbelievable...My Bluefly purchase arrived today...By the picture at Bluefly, I thought I was getting a black togo 28cm Plume. Well, it's actually a black box 32cm...OMG...I'm ecstatic!!!!

Congrats! Bluefly is a little off on sizes and leathers, lucky you. My daughter-in-law nailed the red box Plume a couple of weeks ago with white stitching in 32 cm, gorgeous. Enjoy your Plume. They call Togo, "pebbled" leather.

Resurrecting this thread because the concept alone is literally making my head spin.

I'm doing this for those who are worrying about the looming price increase and fret that they will not be able to afford their dream bag.

If you're willing to take a risk, I guess this is a viable option.

I had a very bad experience on Bluefly that was in no way Hermes related. Over the years I occasionally ordered from them (clothing), and as with all on-line retailers I would return that which didn't fit or didn't work on me. 2 years ago I ordered several sweaters/cardigans in varying shades of green hoping to find 1 that worked out.I did, and subsequently returned the rest. That particular year I think I placed 6-7 orders and ended up returning 75% of what I had ordered. Given that this is an e-tailer, and that there is no way to try things on before purchase, I didn't think this to be unreasonable.

Fast forward to the next year, I found what I thought to be the perfect item, and wanted to order, and was denied 3x in a row with no explanation. I called them and asked why my order would not go through and they said that I had been removed from the accepted customer list because of the number of returns I had made the previous year!

Fair or not, I was furious. Keep in mind that I always paid shipping to and from, so I was not abusing a free-return policy. I found it completely unreasonable that this would happen. For a B&M in-store purchase? I absolutely can see the point. I wrote them a scathing letter and told them my money would be spent elsewhere.

My point of this note is not to dissuade anyone from purchasing at Bluefly, but to do so with caution. Nowhere (at that time) was this return policy listed anywhere on their website. If you want to order something "to look at it and decide", you might be blacklisted from any future purchases if you end up returning the item.

That's stupid of Bluefly. I do the same when buying online when I really love something and want it.
Did you call the coporate offices? I don't call Customer Service. There's another number for better service for serious issues, 1-866-285-1702. They call it the "elite team". You can also discuss any issues you might have had in the past with regard to their Customer Service. I got it from the President & CEO, Melissa Payner. This is my Xmas gift to all that have problems with Bluefly. I never met Ms. Payner but fight for my rights as a consumer.

melliesmom10: Thanks for the tip. I am still too steamed to give them my business, but should that abate, I will call them and see what I can do. Given the competitive nature of on-line sales, I'm not going to help them get there act together very soon though...

Today the Orange Birkin Weekend bag (I believe its a HAC) that I almost bought about a month ago is back on the site. I wonder if someone else bought it and returned it
