Hermes on Bluefly

I'm there! Looking at chant henne (forget exact name) jardins armenia, noel au 24, l'art d'ecrire, and what they call matador (look for me at the bottom of ban lake swimming with the fishes). I am going to drop 24 and a henna if anybody is waiting on that site.

I just ordered an H printed bracelet on Bluefly.com and paid $365 instead of the $450 Hermes price. I've never ordered H from Bluefly before, and they usually offer only one or two H items at a time. But I thought it was too good of a price to pass up.
Has anyone else ever purchased H from Bluefly.com? What's your experience?

There was a time when Bluefly sold older stock - new - probably offloaded from franchise stores. Now most of the stock is from various third party resellers of pre-owned Hermes (this is often clearly stated on one of the description tabs).

There have been threads on Bluefly & Hermes before... the biggest complaint is the return policy (which has been reported to be lengthy for some and an outright hassle for others)... the second biggest complaint is receiving an item that's obviously been used & returned... and there has also been mention of issues of authenticity. (I honestly can't remember if any of the issues of authenticity involved Hermes... or whether they'd been mentioned in threads from other forums.)

All of which isn't to say that people haven't been satisfied with their purchases... just that buyers with lower tolerance for potential issues generally pause before considering Bluefly.

Personally... I've purchased one Hermes item and one Bottega Veneta item. The Hermes item was shipped without normal Hermes packaging... and wasn't exactly "pristine"... but the condition was suitable for my purposes. The Bottega Veneta item was shipped with normal Bottega Veneta packaging intact... and had obviously only been minimally handled... if at all.

hth. GL! :smile1:

Thanks so much for the info. Newmommy. I've bought other items from BlueFly before and have been happy with what I've gotten.
I've noticed that some items, such as the Louis Vuitton bags, say pre-owned. The Hermes didn't say pre-owned. And when I chatted with someone from customer service, she confirmed that the bracelet I ordered is new and will be sent in the standard Hermes orange box.
We'll see in a couple of days when I receive the item.

Let me clarify... back when prior threads were active... Bluefly hadn't yet started selling the volume of preowned Hermes that they sell now (just a few "vintage" pieces, here or there). So the feedback for Bluefly and Hermes was predominantly for items purchased that were not preowned.

The item that I purchased was new as well... however, it was clearly not pristine and did not come with original packaging. Product reviews on Bluefly also confirm that sometimes, Hermes items listed as "new" with original packaging (box, etc.)... have been received by customers worn & returned and/or without original packaging (i.e. boxes, etc.).

Needless to say... these are only some people's experiences... and not everyone's experience.

Fingers crossed for you! GL! :smile1:
