To continue with my Madison Avenue experience..I was supposed to meet with the new SA with an appointment but when I walked in he was busy with a client. I was okay with that as I wanted to browse a bit. My daughter and I went down to the bag section where we started talking to this amazing SA. He was the sweetest. He chatted and when he found out that I hadn’t seen any Kellys before he brought out the sample bags for me to check the sizes. He showed my daughter a beautiful garden party in Rose Jaipur. We really connected as he could speak in French. He even took my wishlist down. Does that even happen? It hasn’t happened yet for me in Toronto! Now I’m feeling bad that I didn’t meet him first. Oh well! My daughter who lives here insisted on taking his card as he happily handed us over to my new SA when he finally showed up. Hopefully she will keep the connection going as she’s interested in the garden party. Unfortunately the display piece had a dent in the leather she didn’t want it. If i wanted to switch to him would I have to start all over with the purchase history?

Connecting with your SA is very important more than your "spend history", in my opinion and experience. If your former SA has yet to offer you highly-coveted pieces and you really like this new SA, go ahead and make the switch.

A question for the group - I made an appointment online through the website at the MP location for the first week of September but noticed at the end that there was messaging indicating that I would receive a notice if my appointment was “confirmed”. I made the appointment almost a week ago, but haven’t received anything yet. Should I be expecting the confirmation closer to the appointment date or do I need to make another appointment?

Honestly do not know, but when I have had an appointment ( made between myself and my SA) I then also get an email/text from the store confirming the appointment the day of ( usually an hour before!), even if the appointment was made a week or 2 prior. HTH!

This is super helpful. Thank you! Silly me forgot what time I chose for my September appointment and my availability opened up this week so I was hoping to be able to cancel or adjust my appointment for this week. Oh well, I just made a new appointment for Wednesday. We’ll see what time I get the email/text lol. Then I have to find a way to cancel the September one

Not positive about MP but Wall St and Madison are walk in.

Not positive about MP but Wall St and Madison are walk in.

MP accepts walk-ins but the line can be long. Best to make an appointment if you're on a time crunch.

New to H and planning to shop primarily with one of the NJ boutiques, but I'm spending the weekend in NY and thought of stopping in at Madison. Would making a purchase hurt me in the NJ boutique?
