Sounds strange. Three (at least) are gone and they started rotating SAs? What does rotating mean? Just reassigning customers of the three that left, or no long-term customers for SAs anymore?

The rotating refers to SA's being rotated through the store. So although the SA may have been a leather SA to begin with, they will have to work in all the different areas be rotating through the different departments -- scarves, shoes, rtw, etc. Madison has used the rotation idea before a few years ago, but then seemed to stop it. And I didn't think it worked particularly well last time.

I think there are ways that it works well and ways that it doesn't. It allows SAs who were usually in one area of the store to learn more about the other products, which is great. That said, it's a lot more difficult to find my SA because I never know which floor she's on at any given moment. (She's out on maternity leave right now so it's kind of moot, but it's still difficult to find other SAs and SMs if they're constantly rotating).

I agree. It's hard to get in tough my sa too. I had to ask every floor where she is. I wish they would revert back to the original way where they stay in one floor.

It's both good and bad with the rotating system. I think they've been doing this at least for a few months now. I like that I can have one SA that helps me and knows me with everything so that I don't have to work on finding the right one at different departments. But the drawback is that the SA might not know every department very well and it is indeed hard to find them at times. Usually I'll call or email before I head over there.

I completely agree with this. It's good in that my long-time SA, who worked in scarves for many years, was able to help me with a Birkin this past year. It's somewhat less good in that now when I go into the store to buy a scarf, it's not always so easy to find her and I sort of feel like I am disturbing her by dragging her out of housewares and back down to the first floor.

Question: Does anyone know how the SAs feel about being tracked down in this way? I assume they want their longtime customers to seek them out, correct?

Mine has mixed feelings about this arrangement. She likes that she can understand her customers and H products better. But finds it a bit overwhelming learning about so many different products.

Visited Madison today for the first time and walked out very disappointed with the service. I planned my trip to NYC months ago and was so excited to check out the store. I entered a totally empty leather department and not one SA asked me if I needed help. After multiple laps around the floor I finally stopped to ask if someone could help me. I was directed to an SA and asked her if they had a Kelly pochette or Constance in stock; I received a pretty shocking answer - "No, we don't sell those here." To be honest I was very taken aback by this answer. I am no idiot, and if she had looked up my account she would have seen I am not new to the Hermes world. I realize these are hard to get bags and I had no expectation of walking out with one. I simply wanted to try my luck and explore what I thought was going to be a fantastic store. I would have much preferred honesty over an overt and insulting lie. Sorry to vent here ladies. I know many of you have had great experiences here, but I was very disappointed and do not plan on returning.
