How does getting a highly coveted non-QB (eg Kelly Elan, Kelly Pochette) impact timing of QB at Madison. Does it re-set my pre-spend? I received one last month and am wondering timing and pre-spend impact for a QB.
There is a huge difference btwn an elan and a pochette (the latter being harder to get than a MKII)

Agree with @cravin re possible impact due to timing (given the high demand for and limited availability). But, depending on your spend, tenure, and relationship and whether the SM approves, I don’t think there is an official reset. This is assuming your spend is relatively generous and ongoing relative to other clients.
Hello- my SA left H, and curious if I should start working with a new SA at the same store, or start over at another location (Madison) since it's 2 blocks from me! I've been with my current store for 5 years but I hate the commute! TIA!
If you find someone you like at madison, then why not. Unless you love another SA at MP, I don’t think your experience will ever be the same. I say this with the experience of my first SA leaving WS. I tried to continue, but it wasn’t the same, and I ended up not shopping at the boutique for about 10 years. Madison was always more convenient for me, and I ended up there. Have fun

@dgreen101 , re your question below, it depends where you are in terms of profile and purchase. If you feel that there is still a lot of boutique merchandise you might love, I don’t think it matters. The SA who left had many long tenured clients who would have to be redistributed. Either way, I think for the majority of them, they will have to re-establish profiles with others. These days (I mean post Covid) I personally don’t think long tenure carries the same weight. But JMO and ymmv

but it does make sense to stay at same store (if I've been there for 5 years with purchase hx), or does that not matter?
Your history at MP would probably be attractive to an SA at Madison, it's shown you are a steady client. But your 5 year history at MP probably carries weight there. If I were in your shoes I would give it a few visits to try and find a new SA at MP as long as you still enjoy your time shopping there.

But if you are ready to move on and commuting to MP is too much trouble, plan a visit to Madison and see how it goes.

also, does any pre-spend from last bag with previous SA carry over to new SA? thanks again for your help.

Thank you- that's really helpful as I had no idea Madison could see my profile.

IMO, there isn’t a general rule. I think you might want to ask whether your current and ongoing profile is competitive with respect to the rest of your SAs former clients and with MP clients post covid.

My SA was promoted and arranged for us to transfer to another SA that we already knew and loved. I got a MKII shortly after from the new SA with minimal spend. The fact that I rejected two 25QB the prior year helped. But, I think we got ‘credit’ for the fact that we clearly planned to continue shopping irrespective of bag offers. I think it really depends on the individual; the SA; and, the SM.

ETA: it is my understanding that stores within the US can see other purchase profiles within the US. I’ve also been told by plenty of staff and management, other than my SA, that corporate policy may be to allocate more bags to newer clients in an effort to be “fair.”* And, even though tpfers grumble about the economy and how bag offers cannot remain this elusive, Hermes still seems to thrive (at least compared to LVMH and Kering) This is another reason why I think a switch to be new in a store could be a good idea.

ETA: traditionally Madison was considered more stuffy and had higher spenders, and MP more relaxed, but since the opening of the new store in 2023, I no longer think this is the case.

* this would seem to indicate that past profile might not carry the weight it used to carry (unless you were one of your SAs top clients)

MP'ing- I love the store and loved my SA there too  but not sure if it's better to stay at same store b/c of purchase history, or move to closer store for convenience

If you have a decent profile and waiting for a bag, I would stay and look for new SA. If you don't care, shop wherever is more fun and convenient!

If you are not needing anything specific from H for the holiday, where Madison is very busy,
perhaps wait until after the first & just wander in to see if you connect with another SA.
Madison has a larger inventory than MP, so would consider that option for a new SA
since you don't like the commute, JMO

Just my opinion, MP today is not going to be the MP of yesteryear. SMs have a huge impact on the store. With a new SM in place and having to find a new SA, and with your mentioning getting to MP is a pain, I’d try my luck at Madison.

Similar situation happened with us and the Greenwich store. The SM retired and our SA made a career change. The new regime made it a completely different store that we didn’t love so we moved elsewhere.

Great point. I believe the same SM is there but I have no idea what happened to my SA!

Yes! I’ve spent a bit with my last SA in the last 6 months and would hate for this to go to waste! I am in no means a big spender but I think b/c I had such a good relat with my previous SA, and I’m very loyal, not pushy and consistent, I was able to get a few coveted bags without a hefty spend, (and I’m very picky!) Not sure a new SA would be open to an average “picky” spender lol, but let’s hope! I worried at madison I would be a small fish in a very big pond. And that they would eat me alive haha
