Started my hermes prespend a few months ago and so far purchased home items, sandals, belt and earrings. i've been working with a lovely SA at Madison. We have a great rapport and i'd hate to switch, but from what I can tell the SA is a "first floor" associate. Will this lower my chances of eventually being offered a B/K/C? is there any SA hierarchy - Does the SM give priority to certain SAs?
I was told by several SAs that the leather SAs do get first priority (best bags) at Madison. However, I strongly suspect that their top clients may have among the strongest profiles at this location. My SA is not in leather, and I have been able to get offers I love. In other words, if your SA can make a strong case for your profile, I do not think it matters at the level of general offers or event invitations.

To be honest, if your SA is in shoes or RTW, you might get a top choices, simply because as shipments come in, they are the first to see and set aside for clients, and so on. But, even though my SA is not in RTW either, I was invited to RTW trunk show bc that is my main focus and my RTW profile is quite strong. He simply introduced me to the head of RTW and made it known that I was interested.

ETA: pls note that a lot of emphasis is placed on SA relationship, but the important thing is not whether you are friendly but rather strength of profile. And that is a matter of how much revenue you bring or have the potential to bring. Against another client who has a leather SA but a weaker profile, I believe the stronger one will count more with the SM.

That’s great you’ve clicked with your SA. That’s a very important factor. I’d just have an open conversation with them around how you love many areas of the brand but would also like to share your wishlist and chat about expectations there ☺️

Personally I never go in unless my SA texts me with item arrivals. Almost everything remotely desirable that comes into the store is spoken for already, gets tagged immediately and never gets put onto shelves. To me there's no point in randomly popping in to browse, YMMV but that's been my experience. There's plenty of inventory, in the backroom.
I actually have had pretty good luck when browsing. I don’t go in unless my SA has a few things on hold for me but since, as many have pointed out, the sizing of RTW is so random, there have been many times when none of the items on hold for me fit. When I used to buy more leather goods there was more certainty about my ending up getting stuff that was on hold for me. But now that I’m focusing more on RTW, the chances of my buying what I originally came in for are much lower. So I also browse while I’m there and usually find a few things to try on in addition to the stuff I originally came in for. Between stuff on hold and stuff I find while browsing, I usually end up with something I like.

Hi All! What's the deal with adding family to your account? My Mom will only be visiting the boutique with me and wants to purchase a bunch of items (blanket, belt, jewelry, shoes). She's not interested in B/K, but I am! Should I add her to my account, so the spends count on my profile, and she can just buy her own items?

I don’t think they’ll let you do this. Best just to buy her things for her under your account with your payment and have her reimburse you afterwards.

Actually I've had no problems doing this exact same thing - I have gone on a couple of shopping trips along with Mom, who otherwise never goes to H boutiques. During these trips, she bought a handful of things (using a card under her name), and each time my SA asked me if we wanted to use my profile for her purchases, which we chose to do. I think if you are both there in person and your SA knows you well, everything can just be done under your name.

Yep, this is fine to do in my experience as well. My SA asks anyone in my family if they want to be under my account or DH's account.

Great, thank you!

So, my SA at Madison asked me if I was around mid July because she wanted to send me an invite to an event. She mentioned it would be for RTW.

I have just started really shopping their RTW. How do the items get released? I figured the F/W we are starting to see now in stores and online is what they will carry through until they release S/S24. Is that not how it works?

I have been wondering what items do and do not count toward spend. Do SLG's count?

Anything other than QBs technically counts, but I’m fairly confident that they look at WHAT you buy more critically than how much you spend. My old SA said that the mentality was that leather sells itself. RTW, home wares, etc. matters more than a wallet.

Yes.

I believe the event is called rendezvous is so clients can confirm interest in what was made and ordered by Madison. It was my understanding that during trunk show a few months ago, the head of womens RTW took notes on what we liked, but could not guarantee that the store would order or even that certain items from runway would be made. For example, I don’t think the shearling vest and bolero were manufactured. Certain items that are online (like a lovely women’s navy double breasted leather pea coat with chain d’ancre details) were not ordered by the store. And, some items appearing now at Madison were not seen at trunk show. MP will have their event in August and so on.

Mens RTW will be in September. There was never a mens look book, so DH and another members DH showed screenshots to the SA months ago. This was how my SA was able to ensure one of the sizes of a specific future jacket would be reserved for DH.

ETA: hoping we can really nail down sizes bc they have been all over the map.

Hi All! Q on quota bag limits. If I bought a B in Paris in June, would I be ineligible for a Kelly in September (assuming I had a strong profile, spend, etc.)? I wasn't sure what the policy was in the NYC boutiques and would appreciate any advice. Thanks so much and apologies in advance if this q was answered already. :)
