Have been spending over 15k at Fidi location for over 7 months and didnt get any quotas. Also tried to text my SA twice in the past 3 weeks and didnt receive a response. Do you think I should switch a SA? I feel bad for spending that much so far but didnt know how to move forward with my current SA
IMO, 15K is about 1.5X over 7 months may have gotten an offer (B35 or K32 perhaps) precovid. Post covid, in general, I don’t think it will get much notice, let alone an offer, in NY bc of the spread of 7 months during which there are simply too many other clients patiently waiting who spend that much in a couple of visits. I don’t think a different SA would get you a different outcome. There are of course exceptions, but I would have recommended a reseller before boutique spend if you don’t feel good about your purchases independent from a bag.

ETA: there are many comments on the thread regarding Hermes SAs and lack of electronic response. This could be due to a variety of factors including: they don’t have what you are looking for. A number of SAs at Madison hve also told me that they do not get extra time to check texts (so could have missed yours); and, they are inundated with texts and with clients shopping in person. Hermes corporate policy is to prioritize clients physically present at the boutique, so especially if you are new, I would not necessarily take a lack of text response personally. At one point or other, posters observed H SAs were not allowed to take business phones home, but I have no idea if this is the case now.

I wrote above with the assumption that the 15K in 7 months was in non leather goods, and I did not realize that you just consigned a brand new 25B to fashionphile, so perhaps my post is moot.

Yes, at least for me. My SA has gotten me a B25 and other coveted things, but has not been able to get the chypres I want. As a consolation lol he was able to get DH a pair last summer when I gave up and just wore Birkenstocks. Last week Madison got some in, but my SA gave me the heads up that it was a weird green. Though if you want shearling chypres, they might be available.

Due to the pollution from the fires, H Madison closed early and cancelled their Daniel Gordon seasonal window cocktail tonight. I was happy to stay at home, but bummed I didn’t got to wear a pretty outfit lol.
Thanks for sharing! Hopefully they’ll get more soon

I’m sorry to hear. I would stay. I don’t think switching is worth it. Maybe call the store or walk in and see if they are around? If it was Madison I would say they would be busy, but I feel like FiDi is super quiet.

have you discussed a wishlist yet?

I am 6’6 and tend to have to buy lots of MTM for nice clothes. Our SA came up to meet us from MP at Madison and I was very impressed with the offerings. I ordered myself a regular crewneck sweater, but I can see myself buying lots more.
Hi there! I'm sort of new to the brand so I hope it's ok if I ask you some questions about MTM. My husband would love to get some MTM work shirts at H. Would we have to go to the Madison location for this or do the other NYC locations offer it as well? Also, do you by chance know the starting price or range for MTM shirts and generally how long it takes? Thanks so much in advance! :)

You would need to go to Madison to get measured. We now shop at MP so our SA met us there for the measurements, but now that they’re in my profile, I can order whatever I want from my SA and he can submit the MTM order from MP. I’m not sure about dress shirts, but the cotton crewneck was $1500 which I thought was very reasonable. I’d imagine dress shirts would be a decent amount less. I was quoted 3-4 months for the sweater, but they mentioned that orders have been getting filled a little faster.

Trekked out to Williamsburg today! As a previous poster said, only accessories and shoes. LOTS of shoes! Actually impressed with their selection. They also had multiple colors of chypres in mens and womens for anyone interested. Looking at the picture from the previous post, it looks like they got some new stuff in since then as well. A lot of fashion jewelry and accessories on the first floor (no fine jewelry). I got a cool lizard cdc bracelet, 4 pairs of shoes between me and DH, a pocket kelly belt (posted in recent purchase thread), and my SA ordered a couple other accessories for me that they didn't have in the store. They also had a nice selection of silk, a beautiful pleated silk scarf, as well as some cashmere shawls and stoles. The store was surprisingly busy, although there were a couple of events happening in Williamsburg today which may have contributed to foot traffic. The store manager said maybe some SLG's coming soon. I asked her if they would be getting any RTW, but she said no because there's no fitting room at this location. Permanent store is under construction around the corner (supposed to be a flagship), expected to open in 18 months. Very happy with my purchases so it was worth the field trip out there!
I know a lot of people are looking for chypres, so I took some pictures of what they had. :flowers:

I consigned a B25 I got from a reseller to Fashionphile. I realized I paid extra premium to get a quota bag from the second market but it hasnt been easy to resell when I realized the bag is not for me. Thats why I decide to shop at the boutique myself but it wasnt easy to score a quota bag neither. And 15k was for non-leather items including scarf, twilly, shoes etc

Yes I discussed many times. When I started, I mentioned I'd want a B25. But after a long wait time, I told her I'd be happy with either B30 and K28 too. She said there are only a few stocks in store and the wait is long for any bags. And since then, I havent heard back any news. Its even hard to make an appointment at this point

Yes, I was there just last weekend, and their inventory is severely limited. First floor has some belts and scarves, and the upstairs had a ok selection of shoes - but zero RTW or home goods.
Personally I never go in unless my SA texts me with item arrivals. Almost everything remotely desirable that comes into the store is spoken for already, gets tagged immediately and never gets put onto shelves. To me there's no point in randomly popping in to browse, YMMV but that's been my experience. There's plenty of inventory, in the backroom.

Started my hermes prespend a few months ago and so far purchased home items, sandals, belt and earrings. i've been working with a lovely SA at Madison. We have a great rapport and i'd hate to switch, but from what I can tell the SA is a "first floor" associate. Will this lower my chances of eventually being offered a B/K/C? is there any SA hierarchy - Does the SM give priority to certain SAs?
