I had the good fortune to design my SO in the Lotus Room at 706 Madison today. It’s gorgeous. I love the teal tones and buttery leather seating. Bigger than the VIP room and more windows. Lots of natural light that you need to properly see the swatches in different colors and leathers.

Obsessed with this room  my most recent bag offer was in this room with my SA & the ASM as the reveal room was occupied!

OT
The room is gorgeous, but IMO the couches are a bit too phallic in shape and color

ETA: i hve not seen the room IRL though
Omg - i cannot unsee it now. I felt there was something weird about the room when I first saw the pic and now i know its the sausage-shaped backrest on the couches.

how influential is the SA with the SM
This is a very important and a relevant factor in my experience. Being headstrong is not bad in this case.
If your SA doesn't have a good relationship with the SM and your SA's convincing power is not great, more often than not, the item that you like will be sold to someone else..it will go to an SA who lobbies and advocates for her clients the best. One time, I asked for a QB. SA said: "I talked to the Manager. There is none (If I am right, I interpreted this as all the bags that they have have already been pre-assigned to specific clients so none was available in the specs that I liked at that moment). But I see one coming in in these specifications. I don't know when exactly it is coming in. If you're interested, I'll put down your name for it and when it comes, it's yours." I liked the specs and said yes. But she knows that it was for a specific occasion. I resigned to the fact that I have to wait for a while. That same evening, she texts again saying she found one magically and told me the specs. I loved the specs. I hurry to the store the next day to purchase it. Thanked her profusely. She said something like: You are welcome. You just don't know what I had to go thru to snag that one for you. Loyalty pays off in my book. That's very important to me and is rewarded!
So if you are starting to develop a business relationship with your SA, make sure that her voice is something her SM/Director actually hears.

Interesting to know that they do know what’s coming in terms of QB
Thanks for sharing

So happy for you? How long did the SO meeting take?
Thank you SO meetings can be short if you know exactly what you want and did a lot of preparation especially on TPF. It can take hours if you have not prepped. I went in with 1 idea and ended up with a completely different combination so about 1.5 hours.
I like the puppy more than anything. #priceless

What a lovely space and congrats on the SO! Your furbaby looks a lot like mine - cavapoo?
Indeed RJ is a Cavapoo! He was a big fan of the old store so he had to come inspect the new location. They even gave him a pumpkin flavored Hermes dog treat. I’ll take a picture if I can find it in my bag. I think I was more shocked that they made those, then anything else that day It was Halloween so he went as Sherlock Bones. Here is another photo of the Lotus Room (to keep on topic) and RJ lapping up my latte foam :: shake my head::

Well said and exactly my experience as well.

I learned recently that this is true for non-QB as well. I wanted a CDC belt, since they recently started making them again. My SA had to get it from another store but she had to check many things: if it actually in stock, is it on display, is it damaged, is it on hold for a customer at that store already, and finally how is their relationship with the SM at that store (i.e. are they willing to let it go).

Of course they do. (They know what they ordered. I also think they see what's in production/being made..but of course they don't know when it will be done exactly or if they will actually push thru with making it because they can cancel for lack of materials/delays, etc.). I would find it hard to believe if they told me that they randomly ship out items from Paris and surprise the H boutiques all over the world with what's inside the containers ;) The only thing the SA says that they don't know is the actual day they will receive it..which is understandable.

He's adorable, and I love that they have seasonal pup treats! Those pastries look pretty appetizing also :)

Yup, Like anything else, it’s who you know.

Yup again. I was once shown the items reserved for me that were arriving in a couple of weeks

Bottom line is to always take whatever the SA or SM says with a grain of salt

Agree 100%
i hope that members here who complain that their SA lied to them
or is not up front with them will read this too. It’s not entirely up to the SA.
BTW, it‘s my understanding that even if an SA reserves an incoming item for you,
it is still subject to SM approval

Very true. I always remind myself that unless I have paid for an item already (and of course the item is already with me!), an "offer" may be rescinded at any moment.
