Do you think there is hope for getting qb from Madison this week? Or it would be wiped out?

I ask because I am on track to receive my first and my SA told me before the previous closing that she wanted me to come near the opening so I could get one. I am at around 1.2:1.

I texted her last week asking when I could come and gave her dates and times. She said to come in Thursday. Crossing my fingers! I hope that since it would be my first QB, probably people who have been there are the ones that “have everything” of the classics…. And went looking for more rare or special bags… what do you guys think?

Honestly, it’s probably as close to a sure thing as you can get. Madison will be easily offering quota bags to favored clients through year’s end to meet goals, especially on the client’s first visit since reopening. Have fun!

There's literally no rhyme or reason to Hermes. I would go in expecting the worst (no bag), but hoping for the best May the H odds be ever in your favor!

P.s. edited to add, your odds will be better if you're more open to whatever style/color/size/HW! May be less if you have your heart set on something very specific.

Just a follow up question… A friend of mine said I should “spend a lot” at my visit. Now, I know better than to buy things I don’t like.. and quite honestly if I get offered a QB I don’t have the funds right now to spend an extra 5k+ on top of it… but do you guys think this is really necessary? Or would really help at this moment in time?

Tough to answer this without context, e.g. what is on your wishlist? If it's a B/K25 or smaller then you prob do need to spend a bit more. Did your SA ask you to come in on Thursday because she has something for you, or does she think you're just going in to shop for other things?

So, I never formally put together a wishlist. But last time I was at Madison, about a week before it closed, I bought some jewelry and rtw. I was always too shy to bring up k/b because I was worried it would make me come off as desperate (I have a bad tendency of being non confrontational and not standing up for myself lol).

Previous I got a black picotin 18 and mini Evelyn also black. She knows I’m 5’1 and super petite.

A bunch of people were opening new qb while I tried my jewelry and she said to me “what’s your next bag? I want you to get one of those” so I said maybe a Kelly cut? She said too wide for you. I said mini Kelly? She said your first can’t be a mini. What about a Kelly 25 or birkin 25? So I said okay sure Kelly 25. She looked at my history and then said I want you to come in around opening time. I texted her that day after my purchases, thanking her and mentioning I was interested in black sellier 25.

I trust her taste and always find she knows what looks great on me. So I think she knows that anything bigger than a 25, I look like a little girl holding her moms purse. But, I also know a 25 is “more difficult”… and maybe me mentioning sellier makes it even tougher….

Your SA has indicated that she has a QB for you. If you do get offered a QB that you like and want to purchase, imo I think it’s fine to buy just the bag. It sounds like you have been a steady client and have already spent a reasonable amount prior to this offer. Keeping my fingers crossed that you get offered a bag that you really love.

Name a few things you love about it and then the deal breaker. This helps you be polite while also helping your SA figure out what you like and don’t like. “Oh my gosh I love the size and that it’s Epsom leather…I just don’t know about the color yellow…if it were more neutral, like a black, or gold, or even a dark blue it would be perfect but yellow…im not sure I can make it work with my wardrobe so I think I’ll wait for one that would fit me better!”

Just be honest and say it’s a gorgeous bag but not for you for xx reasons and you would prefer xx combination. Your SA already had a conversation with you about what you were looking for and was steering you towards what would be suitable for you and doable from her end when she said Kelly cut wouldn’t look good on you and no way could you get a mini K for this offer but that k25 or b25 would be possible.

No....you really don't need to. You've been told there's a bag for you (and you bought jewelry and RTW just a few weeks ago). Just enjoy and I hope it's something you love!

Next up quick reveal. My SA asked me - if I had to narrow my wishlist down to 1 item, what would it be? So of course, knowing they were grabbing stock from around the country (and I am not into exotics), I asked for Black Box. Lo and behold, my fairy godmother pulled out a Mini Kelly in Black Box. My eyes nearly popped out of my head! I absolutely love the grain. It is so even and lustrous. It is so gorgeous!

Also I attached a photo of the new VIP room. It's 3x the size of the old one and the style is more in line with the rooms at FSH, than the old H store. Plus there is a window on the opposite side to get a good look at the colors and leathers!

Technically it is open, but the SAs (at least, the ones I know) are crazed and it may not be possible to see anyone. I have a few more things I'd like to look at, and my SA asked very sweetly that I wait a week or two to come back in. They are exhausted, booked dawn to dusk, and they're not the only Madison SA feeling that way.
