My SA told me in advance what was waiting for me. I didn't shop at all because they were so busy.
FWIW I know two SAs that left the store last night well after 10 PM (I got exhausted texts and WeChats) and I don't think they were the only ones. Hope everyone will be kind in the next several days. Edited to add: that wasn't meant to be funny - these people are working very hard.

Seems like with the Madison store getting stock in QBs, other stores in NYC are getting some too? I just got a text from my SA asking when I can come in to see her!!!

There was a line, everyone had appointments, but not too long a wait. There were so many very fancy people with eye popping bags and outfits! Here are some pictures, including my very first B, which is a black Box with PHW!!

Beautiful and fun Hommage à Gene Kelly - Kelly! Does someone who went to the Madison store actually know what shade of blue it is? (Not looking for guesses as this is not what this thread is about, but hoping a person actually heard from their SA or something.

So I went in today knowing in advance that none of my wish list bags were in; I was offered a few things, but I didn’t want to get something just to get something, when I know what I declined would bring others joy, and that more should be coming in soon.
I bought all the special Madison boutique scarves except for the American Quilt GM. Not certain about the white colorway of Gene Kelly, but it was definitely ”buy now, think later”.
There is also a special Madison Lipstick called Rouge Grenade; I don’t usually do reds, but I’ll mix it up with some pink gloss and be good to go.
For the non-exclusives, I picked up Chorus Stellarum in the gray/chartreuse/lavender colorway and the
Robe Legere exceptional, which is my first exceptional, it’s absolutely stunning (I’ll put pics in the AW22 Scarves thread).
When I arrived just before 10 they were checking people in, and as far as I could tell, even though appointments were running over time, they were not making anyone wait outside in the rain. The store was busy and buzzing but not too crowded. I ran into a few people I know, including the Hirschleifers and some TPF friends. I didnt even have time to get to look at shoes or RTW; I feel like I really need to go back and explore.
I absolutely love the 100cm and it’s definitely good for anyone (might pick up another for my husband, or for my older son who likes the men’s stuff)

I had my appt today at Noon. When I arrived there were only a handful of ppl outside. My SA was waiting at the door. Much like @Notorious Pink I went in with certain expectations. I was not after a qb as I have one my SA earmarked for me once in that would meet the allotment for the year. The store was a lot busier than I anticipated with this only being appointment based. My SA along with others are very concerned with the traffic once the store opens to the public Monday. As some above said, please be patient and nice with the SA’s. The store is massive compared to the old one and most times stock is on a different floor. The shoe section was the busiest and a bit chaotic. Several beautifully dressed VIPs with equally as gorgeous bags were scattered throughout the store. I was told several special pieces like diamond encrusted Birkin were the main bags being offered to vip clients, along with regular qb. Slg’s I was told were somewhat scarce or already spoken for. Some customers were so excited you could feel the frenzy. I tried some rtw pieces and the dressing room was amazing. The size of an NYC studio apt Bob Chavez was there today. My SA said he’s been engaging and helping on the sales floor during all the appt days. The registers actually went down for 20 min while I was there which had ppl in a panic but all was well once fixed. When I left there was a line of about 20 ppl outside. My SA said to expect waits once the store opens to the public Monday. Overall it was a lovely experience as expected. Worth a trip and wait to see this amazing store (will post my goodies soon ☺️)
