Love seeing and hearing all the reports!!
Does anyone know if the mens bags are for display only as well? I happened to catch the Victoria 43 I’ve been wanting in the background of someone’s pic on IG but can’t tell if the metal sign is the price or display only :/

All the little metal tags say “for display only”. That being said, as the days go by and we keep seeing new pictures, one will notice some of the items disappearing/displays being filled with alternatives...

I haven't posted in a long time but this week so epic, I had to share with my fellow H devotees.

Thursday Opening Party: 62nd and 63rd, as well as, part of Madison was closed to the public. We used a special pass for our driver to drop us off in front of the store. Night started at the new store 706 with a Broadway musical, tour of the store and lots of champagne. Then food trucks along Madison (including Katz's!)with decals on the ground and then even took over the Nello restaurant. More musical acts outdoors. They took our champagne outside the Men's store (no open alcoholic beverages), we crossed Madison, and waiters were waiting for new champagne on the other side. All of old H was turned into a nightclub. Top two floors was a sit down dinner with 6 courses, catered by Oliver Cheng.

Saturday Private Appointment: I am glad I went today so they had time to iron out some rough patches. It sounds like today, Saturday was much calmer. A small lined formed outside the store. A security guard came out to make sure everyone on line had an appointment. A few people grumbled and left the line. Inside was busy but more bustling with a purpose. Lots of champagne all around. Lots of special editions for the store opening - scarves (Gene Kelly in two colorways) shawl, lipstick, perfume, watch, Kelly, Cargo Birkin. The special watch had the numbers 7, 0, and 6 highlighted in yellow to represent the new address 706 Madison and yellow for NYC (photo below).

Shoe floor was the busiest when I was there. I did purchase a belt last week and my SA had to wrangle it off the store floor and replace it with an equally awesome display for the opening. Alas, the belt wasn't my size, so I returned it to the store today. My friend and I were both asked about HG wishlist items before this week and so we expected something exciting. The VIP room is at least double the size of the old one, but people were being offered QBs all around the 4th floor (new Leather is top floor, instead of basement). Lots of big bags and happy smiles! I'll reveal my QB tomorrow, but I will say even Bob came in to say hi and see our bags

I was told that they are rotating at least some of the bags in the display cases daily. So if a bag you were eyeing in one of the cases disappears, don’t automatically assume it was sold.

Love this! What is the size of this scarf?

The Gene Kelly scarves were 70cm in black and white colorways. And the cashmere shawl/scarf is 100cm, called Madison Party, Marine/Bordeaux colorway and $800USD
Thank you. Unfortunately, my home store is MP. Not sure if they can outsource it for me. Hoping I’ll be able to get one when they open to public. I guess I have to fall in line.

A manager in another store said that nearly all the bags in the country had been sent to NYC for that event.”
This is true and goes beyond bags. My store was even diverting twillies to Madison :annoyed: Happens with all store openings but this one was probably the most severe. And supposedly there’s a new FL store opening next very soon…
I wonder what that does to sales targets for all the stores that lost bag inventory to Madison this year.
It just makes Madison’s reopening look even better on paper by comparison.
