Looking for some advice (and to boost my post count to go to the NYC meetup haha). I read earlier that Madison’s home SAs don’t cross into other departments but other SAs may. After my amazing Vegas SA left the company, I restarted in my relationship with H closer to home. I have started to develop a relationship with a lovely fine jewelry SA at Madison and have purchased a few things (gold jewelry, silks, and boots but purchased those from a shoe SA who had zero time for me on the same trip). I’ve got some stuff on my list including bags, but don’t know if and how the fine jewelry team plays with the leather team. My jewelry SA did help me with a couple of scarves after my ring purchase but don’t know if that’s an exception. I’m used to a much smaller store so having someone run up and down flights of stairs for me is new and both cool and crazy. Anyone have thoughts or experience?

To my knowledge SA’s do cross depts. but if you want to be extra sure perhaps find an SA in silks or leather, cuz my SA is leather and I shop pretty much every dept and each time I stop in, my SA and I go from top floor to bottom (lmao) cuz I condense my shopping to 1x a month or so.

Ours is not a leather SA and has helped us with everything in the boutique, so they do cross departments.

My SA at Madison (from home) crosses, no problem. I also read that with respect to FSH, but again, i was helped in departments (quota bag and RTW) other than her Department (Maison).

ETA: both ran up and down floors (and I have obtained QB and other bags) no problem

My SA (now an SM) is in the home department and we have always shopped across departments. Even when he transferred into Madison he was able to get bags.
Do you know if this will change

Silly question but are SM allowed to still have clients? My SA alluded that clients would have to be ready transferred when someone is promoted to SM. Curious because my SA just got promoted and his next promotion would be SM and I would honestly be heart broken if I had to transfer to another SA

I think it depends on the particular SM position. Most can't.
