I've seen it happen too. Some bags that they're holding are reserved for some customers I think.

I would love to know if anyone has scored a b at the riverside nj store in bergen. I am wanting to buy a few H things but I can go to madison or wall street as well if my chances are better there. The bergen store is much closer though so I can go there a lot more often. i haven't read anywhere on the forum that any tpfers were able to get a b at the riverside store...

I was in the Madison store yesterday, and I have to say that I never witnessed so many rude rude rude customers. I don't know how the Associates maintained a calm demeanor. Geeez.

I have not had good experiences at Riverside on the Birkin hunting front.

Thanks ferrip! I was hoping at a smaller store there would be a better chance of developing a relationship to be able to get one... have a toddler and another one on the way so not convenient for me to frequent the NYC stores.

Have you tried the Short Hills mall store? They don't get the bag selection of Madison Ave, but they do get bags. It's definitely a store where you have to build a relationship over time, and spend on other things. I like Diane or Sarah for this store.

When I went to SH, a birkin was being sold right in front of me so Bs can be had there. if youre willing to play the game. The SA who sold it was the blond. I didnt care for either Diana or Sarah personally.

I'm sure if you are persistent and spend enough (I have been told flat out to spend more to get a B) - you can definitely get one. I was just a little baffled that I spent less in the NYC stores and got B's there, but was still asked to spend more at Riverside - even though I had already spent more there than in NYC! But I'm sure it varies from person to person!

Thanks ferrip, for letting me know your experience there! I'll have to see, would love to go to Madison and Wall Street more but hard to go often. Usually when I'm in the city I'm there for some work or medical reason and not really for shopping. I used to live near Short Hills, back when I couldn't afford H - but now I can't get there too often as well!

Will try to plan my trip to M and WS soon… going to Vegas in a few weeks so will try my luck there too but I assume it will be a similar story.

Do you mind if I ask about how much riverside wanted you to spend there before getting a b?

Just wanted to share this with all the ladies here....I was in Paris for vacation last week and tried to score a Birkin with no luck. I came back and went to the Madison store today and asked directly for a birkin to match with one of my Hermes scarf. I was told no at first, then after chatting for a little bit, the SA brought out a birkin 35 for me. I never bought anything from this SA before and only bought few scarves from that store over the past few years. I am so happy to score a birkin. It proves that persistence do work. Good luck to all of you who want to score a birkin/kelly!

Thanks for sharing. I will be in NYC in 2 weeks and I plan to try for a Kelly pochette. I haven't had luck getting one at my local store.
