mistikat,

Yes, returned my first skunk K32 yesterday and was issued a store credit. I joined the H world just 5 mths ago. Wanted to know what items count towards b or k offer since I'm still on waitlist for K35 and B30/35. I know SM does the final approval. I know they look at your purchase history first. I'd like to know if purchasing more different items (eg jewlery, bags, rtw, etc) would have higher chances. I only like H scarves and bracelets. If I just purchase scarves and bracelets would they deny offers.

If you got a bag ... you must have some idea - no?

There is no "list" or known set amount or quota that I am aware of in NY. Typically, if you buy RTW or fine jewellery, it tends to "count" more. But your best bet is just to ask your SA, really.

Plus, if you have a credit for a Kelly, I would think they would allow you to use it on another Kelly, given the circumstances.

ummm YES! My ban lasted 1 week. I went crazy - bought a GM/cashmere, pocket square to use in one of my bags, a silk in wallet and pilo pouch (rosebud's fault!) and almost bought a Kelly double tour!!!

Ban Island isn't working for me!! However, I may return my silk in for the larger one because once I got home, I realized I couldn't fit everything in it!!

Ha ha I'm 2 months late to this party and just saw this post!!! Glad you found your wallet and pilo pouch....I LOVE mine....post pics when you get the chance,...would love to see!! :D

I have purchased a couple of bags (not B or K) and a lot of accessories (scarves, bracelets) at the Madison Avenue store in the past year but did not understand that I should be building up a relationship with one SA (foolish, I know). I would really like to find a Kelly. Any suggestions as to how to move forward? Should I go back to the SA who sold me one of my bags and buy something else from her? Should I go to the lady who sold me the scarves and see if she can recommend an SA in handbags? I was once helped by a super-nice, incredibly knowledgeable manager in handbags but since that time he never seems to be available when I come in, and I am afraid he thinks I am a flake. Any advice you can provide would be much appreciated!

My DH and I first met a very nice SA who asked what we were looking for and we would stop by from time to time just to say hi. I waffled on buying a wallet, which my DH eventually went back to buy for me, and then he got a cryptic phone call saying the store might be getting something that we were looking for. Unfortunately, DH was traveling so we missed the boat. We also bought a tie from the men's store but those were our only H purchases before we got my Kelly. I've read about people getting Bs and Ks as walk-ins at Madison though, so I think it's all luck. Hope everything works out!

I wanted to share my experience in new york yesterday. I went for a day of shopping and decided to visit Madison boutique for the first time. I usually shop at wall street and my mom had terrible experience at Madison, but I decided to go anyway just to see what they have. On first floor I met a super nice lady who helped me buy 2 scarves and 2 bracelets. Then she introduced me to another super nice lady downstairs in bag section who showed me bunch of items they had. They were super busy downstairs and I am not sure if it's always like that. I asked for some items which they didn't have, but she offered me Kelly wallet which I gladly purchased as well as garden party and some accessories. I stopped by 2 floor and they had a big selection of jewelry which i admired. Some nice shoes. Didn't make it to the 3 floor as I had to go back to airport! Overall I had a surprisingly nice visit. I guess it depends what SA you get. I didn't even ask about birkin or Kelly which I figured would be fruitless anyway...I think it's a good store to visit because they have SO much more variety than wall street, but for building relationship I like wall street better. More intimate :-) And I bet they have A LOT of clients at Madison as well as tourists...

On another note, there was someone there with a big dog and he pooped all over their white carpet by bag section. It was terrible! They bolted right away and store staff had to clean it up themselves! They were just mortified...

I saw your reveal and Your purchases were all so beautiful. I'm glad you had a great experience at Madison as it seems to have developed a bad rep, even among locals. Wall Street is the preferred NY store for most. However, I've met some lovely SA's there and have had good luck. The selection of bags and scarves etc is amazing though SLG's could be hit or miss as they seem to be the first things to go.

That's so awful about the (big) dog! Yikes!

Thank you again! But yeah there are some nice SAs at Madison, just gotta get lucky :-)

I'm glad that you enjoyed your visit to the Madison Avenue store. For some
reason, it seems to have an unpleasant vibe for many.

My experiences have always been above par & I usually find what I am
looking for.

I can't even imagine a visitor or client having a dog that "poops" & doesn't
clean up after their dog... How disgusting!!

I have gotten a B from this store. It's tiny but they get quite a lot. :)

I would love to know if anyone has scored a b at the riverside nj store in bergen. I am wanting to buy a few H things but I can go to madison or wall street as well if my chances are better there. The bergen store is much closer though so I can go there a lot more often. i haven't read anywhere on the forum that any tpfers were able to get a b at the riverside store...

Hello everybody! I'm going to NY in early August to do some H shopping. I would like to be able to score maybe a pair of shoes that I like and some leather bracelets. Oh, and I'm a guy. What do you think of leather bracelets availability? And do they hold a large variety of men shoes? Thank you so much!

I see bracelets there frequently. They have a wide variety of shoes, but rarely the right size from my experiences.
