Just stopping by to say the SA at H Pavilion are soooo nice! I was visiting Malaysia for the first time, so of course had to stop by your H store. They didn't have any KDT in the color I was looking for, but the SA I worked with (an older asian lady) was very patient in showing me other bracelets she thought I might like. And since I wear an XS, I was in heaven with the choices. Usually at the NY store, they don't have many XS.

Anyway, had a great time and enjoyed lots of food of course. :smile1:
I know is out of the line here but you can never say No to Malaysian food.

Thanks tammywks for the tips.

I realize it's out of topic but was hoping someone closer to home will share their experience (if any) on shopping for birkin in London since I'm Malaysian too. Sorry though if this is not allowed. :blushing:
I have read up the all threads available on Hermes London by the way. :back2topic:
If you see a B or K on display in the store of London or Paris, is Bingo day! Nowadays is impossible to chance upon it unless you are a regular or luck is with you for the day where a nice SA decide to offer it to you after purchasing some other accessories.

Hi everyone. My sweetheart is bringing me to Malaysia in a few months and I was wondering how the shopping is like, culture, etc and if H is well known in that country.

Please pardon my naivete. I know nothing about this lovely country, aside from the geographic location and predominant religion. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I think Malaysia is a very interesting country with so many races living together. Is a melting pot especially food. Do try all different kind of food when you are there. Hermes is not as coveted as LV or Chanel but there people who know this brand and because of the tactic played by Hermes, it is almost unobtaineable (for B, K and Lindy) unless you build up the relationship with the SA. Despite that, do drop into Hermes KL in Pavilion :D HTH!

Hello ladies, a little story I wanted to share with my visits to Malay Hermes...

I've frequent Hermes a few times, but this experience was different from all the other times I went. The other times, i left the store feeling defeated with the unhelpful snooty SAs. But this very visit, I left the store with much hope! A very nice SA helped me out. Earlier during the day, I paid a visit to the store, just looking around, the very nice SA entertained my questions. But I left the store with no purchase. An hour later, I went back to the store and the same SA recognized me and again follow up with my questions. I was surprised because I didn't make a purchase the first visit, so I didn't expect SA to assist me again. Anyhow, To cut the story short, we started to chat. She was very nice and assisted me patiently. I ended up purchasing a few items. While she was ringing me up, I told her the previous time I was there, because I asked an to put my name doqn for a B, SA said she would put my name in the wish list for a Birkin, so I asked this SA if she can check to see if my telephone number is current. To my surprise, I was on that list!!! And also, during my earlier visit, I was looking for Constance belt kits, but of course they didn't have any in stock, after ringing me up, the SA offered to put my name on the list for Constance belts. I'm very happy because of this particular visit... I now have a direct SA I can communicate with. And yes, it is a very small baby step in building my relationship with the SA, but it is a start!

I read up and down the threads and always read that it's not easy picking the right SA to start building a relationship. I really feel a good match this time! What really helped was initiating a conversation with the SA, ask about things, let the SA get a feel of what type of customer you are. Don't straight away ask for b or k! Ask about the scarves, the different color ways and etc. Do your research (as I have) regarding the leathers, the product names, and etc. knowing these lingo will let the SA know you appreciate the H brand!

I left the store hopeful because 1. I have an SA I can communicate with, 2. She offered to add me on the Constance belt list (so I will hear from her again!) 3. My name is actually on the wish list for a B. 4. Most importantly, I began a relationship with an SA! I'm so happy I got my foot in finally!!!! Perseverance pays off :)

So my questions to the seasoned Hermes clients, is this how it all started for some of you? Or I'm I just being naive and too hopeful?
