anyone know how much the hermes bags in malaysia are? kelly, birkin, lindy, or herbag?
Are they cheaper/more expensive than the US price?
and do we need to have a history with them before getting a birkin/kelly?

From my experience is hard to get B/K in M'sia stores are they have limited outlets. Lindy and herbag are much easier to find one.
The currency Riggit is weak now, so it is an advantage for those use foreign currency. Recently they imposed duty/ taxes of 6%. As tourist , we can ask for tax refunds at airport

B/K usually reserved for big spenders or loyal VIPs. There are chances to score Lindy/Herbag, depends on the availability.

Hi, I read through earlier posts about the Evelyn III PM pricing at 11.8k. Has there been any price increase so far? If so, how much? Would it be pricier to get it here or in Japan? TIA for any response!

I would like to try out the clic H first in the store before purchasing it from a PS. Anybody have any idea if the Hermes in KLIA sells jewelry?

Hi, has anyone bought a brand new H bag from overseas and got it shipped to Malaysia before? A TPFer might be returning her B and I'm eyeing it. How does it work in terms of declaration, custom taxes and duties etc? TIA!

If you declare full value (via dhl/fedex), they will ring you and let you know of GST+Customs+Brokerage fees(about RM50-100) which normally works out to be about 10% or so of the total value declared of the bag. I wouldn't use Pos Malaysia (or via USPS from the states) as they take ages to clear customs!

That's good info for future reference, thank you! I've decided to pass on the bag as after currency conversion, it amounts to RM43k for the bag itself! I know a 30 would cost as much here or probably more in the secondary market but at least there'll be lesser risks involved ;)
