I was out in the rain with my chevre goat kelly covered with its raincoat. Claude said it was rain tolerant and not to worry.

Over here we've had a year of unseasonally wet weather and it obviously has a bearing on what bag you carry, hence the question - so i thought it would be interesting to hear what your answers would be.
Mine, for carrying in wet/bad weather is my Hermes Noumea (or for a non H bag it's a Mulberry Grosvenor), these are the bags that i will allow to get wet and can trust that they handle it without showing any ill effects whatsoever.
All the other bags i own, and they're only Hermes, Celine's and Mulberry's, i wouldn't want a drop of rain on them let alone take them out in grotty weather - and putting plastic 'raincoats' on them isn't my thing - anyway, they'd be on and off like a tarts ....... anyway, what are yours ?
Would love to know the answer to that too... It hasn't stopped raining has it? In fact it is SNOWING now ...I heard Epsom and courchevel is good in the rain, but I don't have first hand knowledge so would love to hear what more experienced leather afficionados think...
No snow over this side, still very low temps though, and just when we thought spring had sprung :shame:
I am fearful of using any H bag in rain or snow and tend to gravitate toward LVs.
With advance notice I used my Goyard bags, even got a carry on bag in case of inclement weather and also large enough hold a kelly or birkin.![]()

Having had almost all H leathers (not exotics) I can say that the only ones I'm nervous about in the rain, and I try to avoid it, are my Boxcalf, Barenia and Vache Naturelle bags.
Crocodile and alligator are top no-no's as well.
