Hermes Jypsiere 28 Team Taurillon Clemence Bi-color RC/R

Super excited to get my very first Hermes. In the past I have been fortunate enough to own and appreciate great pieces from LV, MJ, Prada, and Balenciaga. However, last weekend I decided to snag my first Hermes piece: the Jypsiere 28. The SA showed me a kelly green in the display but went in the back to bring me this gorgeous bi-color. And the rest is history. Allow me to introduce her to you in Rouge Casaque/Rouge.

Looking through the Jypsiere clubhouse thread, I saw that some ladies have thoughtfully converted the crossbody strap to a shoulder strap via twilly. I instead tried it via bag charm.

I think it works. Love the shorter style and will be wearing it this way most of the time. I LOVE THIS BAG, perfect size, color, the leather is amazing. I am so over the moon

Congratulations! My first H bag was the original Jypsiere. I love the photography you took. Very beautiful. I want to mention that I also preferred the shorter strap but what I did instead was take it to a local trusted shoe repair shop and asked the craftsman to open a hole for me. Wear your gorgeous new H bag with great joy!

Thanks for sharing in my excitement ladies. @alterego, that's a great idea too. I was also thinking of bringing it to Hermes and just have them punch a new hole but I'm a bit hesitant as I want to keep the strap in its original state, even if it means the other half will just sit unused in a drawer. Which is also why I held off on doubling it and using a twilly--I'm trying to avoid denting the strap when it's folded in half for a while.

And so goes my rambling reasoning for using a charm instead It might risk scratching the hardware but I'd trade that for altering the leather.
