I think the issue with "H" Vancouver is that they have such a loyal customer base, that the bags dont actually make it to the floor. I know my bags from Vancouver Hermes didnt make it to the shelves at any point in time. They cut the plastic on the box in front of me. They also probably get dozens of redundant phone calls....so I think its worthwhile to pop in and say hello.
I remember walking past the Hermes in Vancouver last month, and they had a beautiful orange ostrich kelly displayed in the window - I'm sure many of you have seen it? It was there for like two weeks! I was surprised, because I thought it was really high in demand.
I asked about the orange ostrich kelly. was told its not for sale![]()
Such a tease! *Roll my eyes*
I stopped going to the store cuz I left empty handed every time I go in recent years. I missed that teeny little H store at holts (gone now). Could always find little something that put a smile on my face.
20K! Eeesh! No wonder its bloody impossible to get a Birkin or Kelly!H stores now prefer selling to loyal local customers with good buying history!! They would not tell what they have in stock!! Also I think the sales kinda need manager's approval for giving the bags to customers!! I have heard from friends that they almost spent 20k for a B on non-leather stuff such as jewelry, watch, china, clothes...etc! I think that's basically the H new policy!
No way!! That's insane. I Hermes want the clientele who spend money like it grows on trees. If its only 20k it's not a bad threshold in Asia except Japan it'll need to be several times that amount before being offered a bag.
