It's not insane but its the way it works with Hermes and we learn to live with it. I just visited the Vancouver store and though not spending a lot, found myself well assisted by the SAs there.

Kinda funny, but my SA did mention if someone buy a saddle (there's a huge one that's hanging as display in store) then they would be offered a "bag" right away (assuming a birkin). She was kinda saying it in a straight face but not sure if it is for real or not.... And I pretended not hearing her haha (she was eagerly promoting the equestrian goodies) of course I didn't dare to ask how much is that saddle LOL..... but either way I am not the sporty type and also cannot imagine it in my living room as decor in a million years!!!!!!

But I have to agree, all the Vancouver SAs are very nice and pleasant. And while my hubby was waiting for me at the store, he witnessed the following interactions between another customer and SA:

A young guy (Walk in customer) dashed in and rudely said "I want a h belt in xx color"
SA: "sorry but we don't have any right now, would you like to see other colors?"
Customer: "I have cash"
SA: "sorry but we don't have that color can I show you other colors or I can have your info down and call you when they come in"
Customer didn't say anything and just took off......

My hubby said he felt kinda sorry for the SA and I jokingly said probably that customer is a soon-to-be "accountant" thinking "CASH is king" haha LOL (hope no accountants feel offended here) =)

Maybe we should buy that saddle and move to Surrey. Join a riders' club there and on the weekend, ride our horses (with a birkin tied to the H saddle) across the border and buy jugs of milk at Costco. :roflmfao:

That would involve buying 40 $500 scarves!

The only scarf I'd used is on bag handles. But I don't have enough bags for 40 scarves cuz every time I asked, you said there r no bags in stock or at the back. Lol

If I own a restaurant, I'd spent $20k on Hermes china. But we r banning shark's fin, I dunno how much chicken chow mein I'll have to sell in order to cover the cost of expensive dinnerware.

Hi fellow Van H fans,

I am looking for a KDT bracelet in black leather and silver hardware. Has anyone been to the boutique recently and looked at their stock of bracelets?

They usually have a few KDT bracelets on display .... If I remember correctly I think I've seen one with black leather and gold hardware ... I'm sure they have one with silver hardware lying around ... There's no harm in asking :)

Will do, thanks for letting me know! :p

Do you by any chance know what the price is in CAD?

Actually I think thats 20 $500 scarves...OMG!! I have about 15 scarves and 7 shawls or so. I have never even dared to do the math or even count the items. I usually pick up a little something every other week or at least once every month. Shoes, enamel bangles(my favourites), house stuff..etc.

I have a few birkins so the object is not for me to buy one but......This!....is so not good for my bank account!!.:nogood:

I will manage a trip to Van recently, and will visit the boutique to try my luck. Do they sell B or K to walk-in customers? Can anyone tell me what the availability are for constance, B or K.

I have never seen a birkin or kelly on the shelf in the last couple years since I started shopping there. There was kellys frequently couple years back.

Thanks for your kind reply. Do they need to be approve by CEO before they sell K or B to customers? When I visit the boutique in Calgary, they mentioned that K and B need to be approved by their CEO. They need to send the customer's purchase history to CEO first, and once it's approved, the customer can finally purchase that particular bag. I'm not sure whether it's a new rule in Calgary store, or a new rule to all Canadian boutiques.
Thanks for your time.
