Thank you @Vivien Lee @sw423 & @sisi_826 - I really appreciate your feedback. I had no idea about them no longer taking appointments, i'm assuming my SA was just trying to accommodate my request, and now I feel bad. I will give it another chance with her and see how it goes.

Wishing everyone good luck this year on getting your dream bags!

Hello,
The store has become so busy that all the SA are overwhelmed and cannot keep up with all their messages. My SA has a hard time responding to her regular clients as she also is receiving a lot of email from people that she doesn’t even know. SA may be late for appointment as sometime the prior client is late or takes longer than expected. I was told by the one of the managers that many people got addicted to shopping Hermes online over the pandemic and now are looking for the store experience which has caused a huge wave of new clients. As well, other luxury brands such as Chanel have raised their prices to levels that are also bring Hermes new clients in response.

Sorry that you are going through this. From what I learn, the store is no longer taking appointment. I am sure some SAs may still offer "appointments" to their clients but the store policy is now "first-come-first-serve".

The store is also EXTREMELY busy when I went in and I wonder if it's the reason why your SA is not responsive. You have spent a fair amount of money with the same SA and perhaps you may want to see her one last time in person before you decide if you want to find a new SA. I suggest you call and find out when your SA will be in the store and be expected to line up to see her.

Sorry that I couldn't be of much help but I think the store is very very busy which may affect how responsive SA is.
Hi everyone, I am fairly new to the Hermes journey, and was hoping to get some of your advice. So I started shopping at Hermes last year in March/April and got assigned to an SA when I called the store to book an appointment. Last year, I shopped with her and came in around every other month or so.. i spent about 7k on items I wanted like shoes, silk scarves, ties, gifts etc. in small increments last year. I would email her and she would call me to book in an appointment very quickly, and help me find items I was looking for if I emailed about it before coming to the store. Since December, i'm so disappointed because I emailed her as I wanted to buy gifts for Christmas and she replied saying she would call me to book an appointment. She never called. So I called the store as I was shopping pretty last minute for a few items, and wanted to see if I can just pop in with anyone or if she is working and is available. They told me on the phone just to come in and that she is working that day and will call me back. No call back. I just came in and a different SA helped me that day, I only bought a few small items like perfumes and silks for gifts for my family with her. So after that I emailed my SA saying I never received her call but came in and someone else helped me buy some small items as I was in a rush before Christmas. I asked her to let me know when the Kelly belt in black/gold and loafers would be in in the size I needed and she said she follow up with me. No update on that yet. Now I have an event coming up and needed to buy gifts again, so I emailed her for an appointment. Again, she said she would call me and never did. I'm honestly just getting so frustrated... do I change my SA? I really am starting not to like how she treats me as a customer. Even last year when i would visit there was not one time that she was on time for my appointment.

Sorry for the lengthy message but if anyone has advice for me, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Saw my SA today (made an appt beforehand) and it was not too busy. The one annoying thing is they are asking all clients to double mask upon entering which made it a bit hard to breathe as I was already wearing a KN95 mask. I guess they weren't taking any chances as I believe they had an outbreak prior to Xmas. Looked at a few shawls and scarves but the patterns I wanted had not arrived yet. Also looked at new cw of Avalon blanket (grey and mustard yellow) which is apparently a limited edition. Was tempted but didn't pull the trigger b/c I am still waiting for the one I ordered 3 months ago and has yet to arrive. Had a lovely visit and rec'd a pkg of red envelopes with the Year of the Tiger logo; quite cute!

Hi again guys, so my SA ended up emailing me on Friday saying the item I wanted was back in stock and that she will put it on hold for me. So, I asked her if I can come see her the next day and she said yes come at 4pm and ask for me. There were also a number of gifts I needed to get for a special event coming up which I had asked her about previously in our last emails but she didn't mention anything about it. Anyways, I went to the store and showed up right at 4pm - there was a huuuuuge lineup and they close at 5pm. Luckily the man working at the door asked right away if I needed something as I kind of just stared at the lineup and door. I told him I was suppose to see my SA at 4pm. He said wait just a moment, went back inside and after about 5 minutes and came back out and I was brought inside to meet her. She had my item set aside and I wasn't even going to mention the gifts I asked about considering how busy it was, but she brought it up herself, I was pretty shocked that she even remembered! I told her I know she is super busy so I can come back another day if she prefers. She said no no, its a special event for you lets do it now. She then spent the last hour helping me pick out several gifts! I was soooo happy. Im really glad I gave it a second chance. We really got to bond over the hour too.

Some news I discovered while I was there, they now charge for boxes as of January because of the scarcity of stock they have. She also hinted that some new things are coming this spring, I'm not too sure what but it sounded exciting.

Glad to hear things worked out for you! Sounds like the store has just been hectic and makes me wonder if I should even bother going…did you by chance see any new arrivals?
thank you!

Thank you so much! Yes, I think so.. it was also a Saturday so for anyone looking to pop in I would recommend going a different day based on what I saw that day. I took a quick glance around and I didn't see any new bags on display:( Last time I was there it was just before Christmas. They did get more Kelly belts back in stock. Aside from that they were also pretty low in stock on makeup and even some fragrances. Aside from those observations I didn't look for anything else. I hope that helps for now.

Hello everyone! I'm a new member here and I'm a new client with Hermes Vancouver. I made my first purchase recently and spent about $4300 on a watch. My SA provided me her card only and she didn't ask about my wish list or if I'm interested in any bags, is this normal? Appreciate any feedbacks, thank you and good luck to everyone!! =)

Sounds normal to me. My SA did not ask for my wish list until I’ve reached the spend threshold. Also, I don’t think they’d get into that topic on your first visit. It will at least take a couple more visits for your SA to bring that up

That’s interesting that they are charging for boxes…

Would you happen to know if they have the red tiger year envelopes? Thanks!

How much are they charging for the packaging? Thanks

I just checked my receipt and they charged 0.15 cents a box. They did not charge me for the shopping bags, just the boxes. My SA said it's a new thing that started as of January this year. About the red envelopes, I didn't ask for any however I saw someone above mentioning that she had received them the same day I was there, so based on what she said I believe they should have the red envelopes for this year in now!

Wow, if Hermes starts charging for boxes in Canada that is REALLY sad. I usually refuse the shopping bags anyway as they just pile up without a re-use. BUT I buy a lot of scarfs and because I have the room always store them in their boxes (identified with labels). Hermes boutiques are selling me high end luxury goods that cost a pretty penny in & of themselves - sheesh - it's not Walmart or Winners for crying out loud - I'm sure their margin is sufficient to cover the cost of a box....

$.15 was charged for the paper bag for my last visit. No charges for the boxes. My understanding is that it's the paper bag fee relating to the new bylaw of the city of Vancouver.

The City of Vancouver’s new bylaw banning plastic shopping bags, and requiring businesses to charge a minimum of 25 cents for single-use cups and 15 cents for paper bags, came into effect on Jan. 1.
