My SA asked me if I wanted to start my wishlist, and I am nowhere near the 1:1 ratio. However, I have made it known that while I want a Birkin 25 - and have wanted a Birkin since I was a child - I will not just buy things mindlessly to reach a certain spend threshold: I will buy what I want, when I want, and on my own timeline - I do have bills to pay, afterall😂! My SA is the best and totally loves my attitude🤣. Like, this is just stuff. It’s nice and fun to have, but not the most important thing in life. So far, I’ve been able to purchase everything that I have wanted (mind you, my collection is rather small and humble). To anyone who is newer, my advice is to be polite but direct. It’s okay if you mention that you’re interested in quota bags; it’s okay if you ask to start a wishlist. If you feel intimidated, be less direct (but still confident): “I’m not there yet, but one day I would like to add _____ to my collection. Can you kindly tell me how that process works?” “I’ve heard people talk about a wishlist. What is that, exactly? May I start one, too?”
Some SAs can be rude (there are a few SAs whom I personally don’t mesh with at this boutique) and can make going into the store intimidating. I’ve definitely encountered rude SAs at many a luxury boutique and department store (because I’m me, I usually dish it back or complain to a manager - but you can simply try working with another SA on a different day or at a different store). On the whole, the SAs at the Toronto boutique are lovely, and you shouldn’t feel afraid to ask for what you want.
Hope this helps!
