No I haven’t. I’m hoping my next visit won’t feel so uncomfortable
I'm assuming you probably have already invested in all the other departments she has mentioned. Did you purchase anything else during your visit? Maybe she's trying to work the numbers, similar to the other brands, to bump up the average $ per transaction for the day. If you are working towards a QB & expecting one soon, I think you will get a very clear 'guidance' to strengthen your profile. I was once advised to delay my SLGs, charms purchase to avoid delay on my QB.

Hi all  wanted your thoughts, I was in the store recently and my SA started offering me items in pretty much every dept - for example, silk; that loofah looking silk pouch (not for me) , SLG; bastias, Home; passifolia plates (I collect mosaique/ h deco) , pretty much many items that I’m not interested in or would suit my taste. It’s the first time I felt my SA being quite “salesy”

Is she hinting that I need to up my spending (I’m over 1:1 ratio YTD) or perhaps low on her sales goals for the month? Not sure how to interpret it ..
Sorry to hear about your experience. How did these suggestions unpack ? Did you come with an intend to browse and SA inferred you’re open to different items or did you have a list of items and your SA steered offering other things ? Also, have had a QB conversation with your SA and what was their response ? Trying to gauge if your SA may be trying to hint vs bumping up their sales numbers …

Yes I’ve purchased in all of those departments. I did make a purchase that day in home and jewelry. I actually hope I get clear guidance that would make it a lot easier lol

I had items I specifically asked for at the beginning of the appt, then as we were walking from upstairs to downstairs, my SA was pointing to the different displays. My SA has said at the end of previous appts oh I hope I call you for your bag soon but assuming that’s common.

Sorry to hear this about your last appointment. It could be a mix of both sales tactics and guiding you to your quota bag. Not sure if you know this, but how long has your SA been with H Toronto? Their time at H Toronto could give an indication of how they are doing in terms of building that client roster and meeting/overachieving sales quota for them. This might be harder to observe, but does your SA search for new walk in clients to assist often? I know some SAs will be very clear with this and say that they are no longer looking for more clients to add to their roster as they are happy with their sales numbers and number of clients he/she has. I hope it's not that your SA is having difficulty meeting sales quotas, as we just lost a SA for that reason last month (speculation, but strong evidence to support that).

Were you there at the end of the month? I would interpret it as your SA was trying to hit sales goals or wants you to spend in a broader range of categories. You should only buy what you want to buy and not feel pressured.

Your first reaction is probably correct one. Before my qb bag my sa once pushed me into trying to buy a roller bag. I was clear i have some wonderful quality luggage already but in later transaction bought some boots and other stuff. They are more pressured this year to sell due to the high targets.

Do you know if their sales targets increased this year from last years? Also, if you know what their sales target is?

My SA has been with H Toronto for just over a year and you’re right, i believe is accepting new clients

after all of your advice, it seems that my last appts encounter was driven by high sales targets and perhaps not my QB itself. Hope the next appt will be more genuine ! Thank you all :)

I met an amazing SA and just recently started my "Hermes journey" my first purchase was the chypre sandals, and the SA that helped me out was super nice and friendly and we got along very well. Fast forward to last weekend, I made an appointment with her and I bought a couple of things including RTW, shoes, SLG, and a Twillie. At the cashier, we talked about her family and kids and it was great, then out of the blue she says something along the lines of "see what happens if you come in more frequently, if you continue to do this I'll be able to get you a Birkin or Kelly this year" (keep note that I had never mentioned wanting a quota bag, maybe only briefly mentioned a lindy).

Is this a good sign or do SA's just say this to every other client (I just don't want to get my hopes up)

I don’t think they say that to everyone.

its a good sign, dont take all of this too seriously like its some secret magic formula. buy what you like and keep up the good relationship with your SA and the bag offers will come

Wow! My SA never said that to me, but I think she likes it when I come in very frequently. I ramp it up a lot in the summer months and she seems very happy with me. What chypres did you get on your first visit?

Yes, I'm thinking of going a lot more during the summer since the weather has been really nice! I just got the black and white Chypre's, I'm lucky I have pretty small feet so stock isn't too bad for my size :graucho:

Maybe it's an unpopular opinion, but I've actually been eyeing the go mules. What are your thoughts on them? I love how casual they look and comfy too!

I wonder if it was my SA! I was in last week with my friend and our SA was gone. We were assigned a new one, who is actually lovely (and seems way more helpful - so we actually lucked out!). I think I also owe you photos of my Day Sneakers! The last month has been wild (illnesses and lots of work, as well as yucky weather!). I will upload as soon as I wear them next :).
