Hi everyone,

How are the prices in Japan duty free? I'm travelling through kansai intl airport and would like to know what their stock is like and what the prices are like. How much more expensive is it usually than the US? I'd be interested in a bolide / herbag. Thanks!

Prices are extraordinarily high- comparable to US reseller even without VAT. Bought a bag on impulse in Hermes Narita and immediately regret it once I returned to the US (25% markup over the US price). Unless it's a Birkin or Kelly, not worth it.

What kind of items are available? Thanks.

I don't think I am exaggerating if I say the inventories differs hourly. When I passed through the tiny H shop I saw number of silver accessories, leather accessories, a lot of men's ties, only few scarves, no twillies, no leather bags, no belts. I just hopped in and out because it was so empty. This was in first week of April, and I know some tPF members were able to pick up leather bags like pico and lindy, and I think the turn over is super fast especially in this shop just like FSH.

Anyone has an idea on current bags stock in either amsterdam or frankfurt airport stores? DH is travelling next week and I can ask him to lookout for something for me.

I would assume the same.

The only bag in the store right now is a red swift jige. SA said it was Rouge Casaque. SA said they have only been getting in tiny packages for the last 3-4 weeks. They have the Tendresse Feline GM in a couple of nice colorways and an Au Fils du Carre GM with an ivory background (did not look at the tag for cw since DD was getting impatient and wanted to look at ties for Dad ).

Eta - this is the Frankfurt store in Terminal 1 near the B gates.

It maybe Tadelakt although it was soft like swift. I'm no expert. They also have an RC CDC GHW small. If I didn't have one already, I would have bought it.

Surprisingly, there are more twillies at Paris CDG T2C & T2A boutiques than FSH/George V/Serve locations the past week! I took home one at T2C with €92 only! Better than 10% detaxe if buy at FSH, etc.

I will be visiting soon. Just want to know if I can go from 1 terminal to another?
