Actually in my experience Milan has a great stock, but it's true sometimes it happends they have less.

And In Italy Sa don't get commission. They only have a monthly salary.

The store manager is a really nice lady and very very professional. She loves her work and is extra skilled.
The male SA on the scark dpt is passionate on his work and very friendly. He loves silk!
There are many other very nice Sas and it's so unlucky what happend to all of you.

I had same kind of snobbish and actually a bit rude customer service from the Milan boutique! I was there couple of weeks ago and wanted to see the oran sandals but they were sold out. The whole time we had conversation I had the feeling that they didn't want at all to help me or even talk with me, althoug I was being very polite and kind as I of course always am. I also asked if they had the Evelyne bag but they didn't, not in any colour at all (or so they told me) and I said I will contact them later when I am back home in case they can ship it to me. The other one gave me the card and wrote her name (Marisa Pisotti). Today I called there and told her I am still trying to find the Evelyne. I tried to ask about the colours, like etoupe/gold and the sizes pm/mm, because it is hard to decide which one of the sizes and colours would be best. She was very short with words, just told me that they don't have the bag and I can think myself which one I want to choose. That´s it, bang, and the conversation was over. I would have wanted to use her expertise and opinions to have better understanding about the sizes and what are the best selling colours etc but the conversation ended very quickly.Can't belive it! I definitely won't call Milano store again, that´s for sure. I will take my money somewhere else where they are appreciated. So, can't say much about the stockist in Milan. Aparently they don't have much of anything there, if I should believe those SP:s. Btw, could anyone help me with the Evelyn bags!!??
I am desperately trying to find the colour etoupe (or gold) in PM or MM size from Europe. And does anybody have any tips to give about this big decision?? Which one of these is nicer in live and which one of the sizes is more practical?? THANKS heaps!!
I'll be in Milan in October, and will be eager to see what they have in their 90cm and 70cm scarf collection! There's no H store where I live, so this'll be like a little kid getting to go to a candy store. And I'm glad to hear the scarf SA is helpful.

Let's see how it works!! And THANK YOU for the good news with the Varese store!! We will go to Bellagio (Lake Como) every summer and it is only 1,5 hour drive to Varese from there. I will defnitely go there next July (hope they'll have good stock there!)!

General advice: move your business re Hermes further North - they recently opened a small boutique in a city called Varese close the Lago Maggiore (love it there). by train it would be around 1 to 1.5 hours from milan (cheap travel too). call them beforehand as they might not have a huge selection. they are much more friendly though, or at least were so last year.
my mum was in the market for a Kelly a couple of years ago and went there to check out what they had as they just opened. she actually asked them whether these were real(what possessed her, no clue, it's not like she hasn't shopped at Hermes before..) and they took it in a stride.
I was in the Bologna store today, and they were so nice! Only the second H store I have been in. Super sweet and friendly SA. Store is in temp location in Galeria Cavour 2 because their regular store seems to be having some restoration work done.
Just wanted to give the store a shout-out in case anyone is in Italy wondering about Bologna....

SAs in Bologna are very nice, they once located the very last set in Italy of twilly rings along with the Lotus twilly.

I spotted it across the street on Via Farini with the huge orange wall around it! Which was very cute with the giant ribbon. I went and sat for a moment in the park next to the store to get my bearings and make an alternate plan, then was walking past and spotted the sign about the temp location. I then went in a very nice shopping arcade close by and realized, this might be the Galleria Cavour! Hermes was to the left from the center, across from a little cafe, with giant bangles in the windows. I did not find it at first.
They move back to teh main store later this month.

My friend bought for me a Kelly Relax in Milan a few hours ago and she had never been so mad throughout her shopping life. She was being told by the SA that a box is not possible for the Kelly Relax. My friend understands that it's a huge bag but she'd like the SA to double confirm if that's the case and yet she replied, "Madam, why don't I give you back the money and u go buy a box from another shop." My friend was flabbergast and furious and determined to file an official complain all the way to the top management. What a shame for having this sort of salesperson...I told my friend why don't she return the bag as I don't care to shop at such a store but she refused and said she won't sacrifice the bag for HER!

new info.. Matias was there as I met him yesterday in Milan.. I accidentally met him while looking the shoes and he works downstair now.. The 2 Russian ladies upstair keeping their arrogant faces... as well as their female in-charge store!

The lady in charge of the bags is super competent and usually very nice, maybe we are not talking about the same lady.
I don't know the russian ladies upstairs but most of the time there's a french lady there and she is also super nice.
