Just ensure that your name on invoice is EXACTLY the same as passport. This will eliminate the chance of your claim being rejected.

Hi all, I’ve been obsessively reading up on whatever I can get my hands on where it comes to buying my first Hermes bag. I’m
only after the holy trinity (K, C & B.. Yeap I know.. even harder to get right?) I’ve mostly been looking at reseller options as I don’t think I stand a high chance in buying one direct from the Melbourne (Australia) boutique.

Does anyone has any experience?

I’m tossing up between getting a bracelet like the YG Kelly first. Would that give me a higher chance since I do want the bracelet as well?

I’m happy to wait a few months for the bag to be offered my way, but I certainly don’t want to be spending $20-$30k before I’m even offered a look in, or worse.. not even offered :(

Please share if you have any luck.

Still looking at reseller options while thinking about whether to wait for a bag direct from the shop.

This bag has been in my radar for a while.. but the corners are banged up a little. It’s a box calf.. and I love the look of it and am aware of it’s scratch potential. Other than the corners, it looks ok to me. Strap is a little dry but I can live with that.

Question: would you pay Aud $11XXX for this?

I love your bag! Congrats.. though a bit late as I only just signed up days ago and am catching up with everything.

That’s the exact combination I want.. though I don’t mind GHW.

If you don’t mind me asking, did you build up a relationship with a SA before you were offered this bag, or had a long purchasing history? And if this is too personal, you don’t have to answer, did you have to spend a lot to be offered a K?

Thanks will be seeking docride’s advice though I posted about another bag a day or two ago and have yet to hear back from her.

This is a kelly 28 from 1994 :)
I think it’s good for it’s age but the corners are what is holding me back at the moment. I fear even if it’s touched up, it could be easy to scruff the corners again, seeing that it’s a sellier style.

remember docride's adage about viewing bags from a metre away
it does not look in bad condition; it's not damaged - just little (very little for its age, for goodness sake) signs of normal usage.
if the price is right and you are sensibly careful - not neurotically so
it could be a gem

Personally, price is on the high side for a preloved K. But all boils down to your own judgement,how much do u want this bag? With this being a Sellier K, rigid corners WILL get scuffed no matter how you "baby" it. If you worry about that issue u might want to consider retourne K. Best of luck deciding.

It has been a few days since I spotted this bag so I’m actually not liking it as much since the corners do bother me. Will definitely be considering the Retourne style. Thanks for your advice.
