Thanks for sharing these photos and telling us about the process... makes me appreciate the fine jewellery and silk scarves a lot more.
Yes, the time and skill they put into their work is amazing!
The gem setter was pretty young - 23 if I remember correctly! He said he'd always dreamed of being a gem setter. This photo shows him putting the pave diamond into a link of the bracelet - it's held in place with wax. After setting the diamond in place, the gold around the diamond is rounded and smoothed.

After few months of waiting, I was able to score this beauty today at the boutique
Thanks to my sweet SA, she offered the perfect combo (color+hardware+leather+size) I have ever wanted for my first constance!
It is C18 Rouge Tomate Epsom leather with GHW.
Melbourne boutique has 2 of C24 (nior croc & rose azalee evercolor) displayed and so I was lucky to compare C18 vs C24 at the time of purchasing this bag.

IMO:
C24- more formal, fits everyday (i.e work) needs, bit bulky
C18- more casual (especially with brighter color), fits less but enough for minimum essentials. Cross body

As I dont carry much+ wanted a cute pop of color bag, I went for C18 after much consideration.
Hope this helps for any H lovers out there considering to buy either C18 or C24.
Thank you for letting me share

I love your bag! Congrats.. though a bit late as I only just signed up days ago and am catching up with everything.

That’s the exact combination I want.. though I don’t mind GHW.

If you don’t mind me asking, did you build up a relationship with a SA before you were offered this bag, or had a long purchasing history? And if this is too personal, you don’t have to answer, did you have to spend a lot to be offered a K?

Thanks in advance. :)

Sorry for the late reply, just saw your message and yes I do look for the same SA every time I go to the shop, and I will actually call up to make sure she’s there then only I will go to the shop. In fact I don’t have a long purchase history, I would say I will make some purchases every now and then, usually leather goods, scarfs and shoes. I cannot recall how much I’ve spent with H Melbourne but definitely not a huge sum of amount to get onto the waitlist. Hope it helps!

Congrats!!! After I went for the Hermes exhibition, C18 is definitely on my wishlist now [emoji7][emoji7]

Was hunting for Lindy in the store yesterday and was lucky to be offered a noir lindy 30 in phw. However I didnt get it since I only prefer Gold in ghw, put my name down (the SA just note down my info and preference in a note in her ipad, not like others filling up the form). Just wondering do they really take our orders seriously? Do they really put us into waiting list? TIA

This thread is pretty quite compared to the Sydney thread!
Has anyone bought anything exciting recently from the Melbourne store

I went in to look for a coin purse but couldn't find anything - I decided on a Bastia but I'm looking for a colourful one and there was only black. I left my contact details so hopefully something will come in.

Been having a bit of luck with the Melbourne store recently. Have been able to cross two items off my wishlist - an evelyne tpm and neo boots!

Seems like it might be hard to establish a relationship with a SA though . They've all been really nice, but when I've hinted that i would like to establish more of a relationship to achieve a B/K/C - mainly a C18, the vibe I've been getting is that the WL has closed, and SAs have been finding it hard to meet quotas for their existing clients. I've been told it might be easier for me to just try overseas like the States or Japan, so I'm conflicted about whether to continue to try and develop a relationship, or just purchase everything I need such as shoes and silks elsewhere.

Love your bag, boots and your cat :) !!!!!
I’ve just started my H journey so I’m not too fussed about B/K/C at the moment. I enjoy the process of developing a friendly relationship with a SA - Hopefully we’re one of the lucky ones who are soon magically offered one!

Your cat is so cute!

I know what you mean about wondering if it's worth trying to establish a relationship though.
