Hi all,

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this. I recently moved to Melbourne from London, and I'm now in the market for a Lindy and potentially a Kelly, having really got into the quality and comfort of the bags. However, I wonder if it is financially sensible to start building this relationship with the store in order get a bag. I think H products are wonderful but I'm only into scarves - I spend a lot of time in front of a computer, and I find bracelets get in the way. I don't think it makes sense for me to spend money on things I don't really want just so the store would "like" me and show me a Kelly!

I've looked around and seen that there are various US and Japanese retailers with bags I would like. Their prices are higher than the reported official prices, plus import duty because they tend to be outside Australia. I know it all varies, but I would very much appreciate a sense of how much money people tend to spend at an H store, before they are considered a customer worth of a Kelly/Birkin, just so I can work out if the elevated prices are worth it.

Thanks!

Why does everything have to be done in Paris. I guess Hermes is not a BUT thing here. Oh well.

Don't think I could live without my new bag for 6 months! Haha. Thanks for your speedy speedy reply.

It really varies, for those popular store the amount could be very challenging as lots of Asians willing to spend huge amount on the products other than birkin/kelly.
