Hermes Hongkong!

But i'm making a trip to Hongkong next month, i'm wondering if anyone knows whether they have the Hermes Birkin available.

My DH was in Hong Kong last weekend touring the Hermes stores with my wishlist
I can confirm that he did not see any birkins out on display in any store. He did enquire about birkins when he was choosing a bag for me and they did not have any available. The SA even checked the inventory across all stores for him when she was trying to find another bag I wanted.

You are unlikely to find a Birkin there unless you have a previous relationship with the SA there. Once you have built a relationship with a particular store or SA, they will offer you one quite easily. I was in HK last weekend and managed to pick up a shoulder Birkin. Try the newly opened Hermes boutique in Macau Four Seasons. I know that they had a 35 Croc Birkin for sale on opening day. My SA told me about it. Good Luck!

Ahh... the ever elusive Birkin. I have been reading Mr. Tunello's book on the subject. If you have not picked up a copy I encourage you to do so, it is enlightening on the subject as to whom gets the goods on the Birkins and whom does not.

According to my H experience for the last 6 years. Never expect to see or buy a birkin there at the boutique and not to expecting theres one sitting on the shelf.
The secret is to build a relationship with an SA. Buy something there... belts, scarves, bracelet,wallet,etc. And chat with an SA like you will chat with a friend. If you will do this like once or twice weekly, that SA will surely offer you something in your dream.

What the others mentioned above. They do have HACs (tall birkin with shorter handle - do a search in the forum if you are not sure what it looks like) in various sizes available on the shelf occassionally (or at the back but if you ask nicely they might show you), along with kellies and exotic kelly JPG pochettes.
