hello everyone, i am planning on visiting Hermès Hawaii to purchase some items while on vacation but i read that it is frowned upon by your home store if you purchase items from other H stores (especially easy to get items that you could have ordered from your home store)…

is this true? if so, shall i have DH create an account or are all accounts linked with address/credit card?

i don’t want to ruin my relationship with my home store, any advice is truly appreciated tyia
I think it depends on your SAs too? Mine knew we were going to Hawaii back in December and actually encouraged us to check out the stores and shopped there.

hi @lishukha , can you confirm if you were able to receive a QB from your home store way after your Hawaii vacation purchases?.. if so, did it take longer than usual?..
Hi - I did get an offer of a QB (that I declined as I have a different color in mind that I am waiting for) in my recent January visit to my home store, about a month after our Hawaiian trip :) so I would say it absolutely didn’t impact the wait time. Maybe you can check with your SA to get his/her thoughts? I am guessing it really comes down to the SA’s preferences.

Going to Hawaii next month and would love anyone’s thoughts on making Hawaii my home store. I unfortunately live in Northern California where it is so competitive. Crossing my fingers there’s inventory
If you have the ability to get to Hawaii fairly frequently then sure but if it’s more of a once a year/once every couple of years destination for you then I would look to your home store.

Thank you for your reply! I appreciate it. We are in Hawaii pretty often. I started my H journey online since I liked their other leather goods/housewares first before a quota bag and I get really intimidated by visiting a boutique. I get nervous easily but I heard many good things about how casual Hawaii SAs are and hopefully I find one that I can easily connect with on my trip.

I know what you mean. It was very intimidating for me too. Turns out all the SAs at my home store are super nice and not scary at all. I heard the same about the Hawaii SAs. Give it a shot if you have the means of traveling there frequently.

Apologies in advance if this question has already been asked, but I’m visiting Waikiki in May and am really hoping to get a Picotin 18 or Evelyn PM. I’m not picky on color :) is it possible to buy these without a prior SA relationship or without buying a bunch of other stuff? I’ve been trying to get one of these at my home store in WA and there’s never any leather purses (it almost feels like these are treated as quota bags!) also the local SAs never follow up on any of my wishlist items… fingers crossed I can get a bag in Hawaii but would love to hear experiences.

If they have stock they will offer it to you. They are not quota bags.

What @texas87 said. I walked in (on day 1 of my trip) and requested an Evelyne. I was told they had no bags but to keep trying. I came back the next day to browse, was offered a Picotin that I turned down, and was offered an Evelyne a few hours later when they went thru their inventory.

My SA was able to get me a TPM nata Evelyne that was on my wishlist along with a pegasus. I think it is really all about timing, even she said it herself. I happened to text her at the right time and be in town the right time as well. From what I was told no QBs at the moment.

Totally possible. When I went in August, I requested an Evelyne PM in a neutral. They had some PMs, but not in colors I wanted. I was told to check back in a few days. When I called a few days later, a shipment had come in and they had Black and a hot pink. I asked for them to hold the black for me, which they did. They brought both the black and pink out, still shrink wrapped. My only purchase at that store was a couple of bracelets from the first visit where I originally asked for the PM.

Edited to add this was Ala Moana store, not Waikiki. Both stores told me the same thing but it was Ala Moana that I called back first.

Anyone know how inventory has been in Hawaii?

I was there in January and I went to both Ala Moana and Waikiki. Stock was very low in Ala Moana. Waikiki was better & I was looking for a bolide 31 and was offered 2 different ones but neither were in a color I wanted. I did work with a very nice SA on a bunch of things, but I think I misplaced her card. I think the team at Waikiki was a bit friendlier as well. I go to HI once a year and whenever I can I work with the same SA, they were all new to me this trip as my prior ones had left. FYI you will either wait in line to get in or need an appointment to be escorted through the store by the SA. All the luxury boutiques were like that when I was there. My understanding is the indoor masking restrictions will be lifted at the end of the month, so maybe that policy will change. Having said that, the Cartier SA I worked with told me they will likely be keeping that policy as they find it builds a better customer experience and their sales have improved as a result.:confused1:
