To be honest I don’t think a big spend is going to cut it in 2022. H wants repeat clients and many well established customers are still waiting for their quota bags. If you’re new to H, be prepared to wait for any B, K or C. Don’t think anyone going in can presume that dropping lots of $ will get them a QB. If you’re in for the long haul, just be patient. If not, go the reseller route. You get exactly what you want and even the premium you pay on the secondary market will prob even out as you’re likely to spend the same if not much much more at the H boutique.

Agree with all of this. Was debating going through the reseller route, but the sticker shock stopped me. Since I'm just building my collection and enjoying the non-QB bags I've gotten so far, I'll just patiently wait for an offer. I just got back from Hawaii and no dice on a quota bag (Waikiki store politely told us none were in stock, Ala Moana was more blunt about the lack of bags). Only able to come away with a picotin 18 in orange. For picotins, they also had an 18 in Lime, and a 22 in nata, mauve sylvestre. Saw someone else in store coming away with a bolide.

Excited to see what you are offered!
OMG I got so busy since coming back from my trip but update on what I got. Unfortunately no herbag with the coated canvas but the lovely SA I worked with was able to get me a pegase bag charm that I had asked for and chypre sandals - the LAST PAIR in our size. Overall, super happy! And I can’t wait to come back and see what else can be offered!

Hi ladies, I am a newbie to Hermes and a first timer to Hawaii. Do you know what is the inventory level like around Easter please? Generally do the Hawaii stores stock up before holidays?
Golden week starts at the end of April, and historically they do have more stock during Golden Week, because many visitors come from Japan... though, obviously, the pandemic may have an effect on that?

I’m heading to Hawaii in mid-late April and will be walking distance from the Waikiki location and not far from Ala Moana. I saw that Hawaii is one of the few places in the world where the H stores are open on Sundays! Is there still shipment on Sundays? Or are they open just to accommodate all the tourists?

They are both open on Sundays (Waikiki later than Ala Moana). As to shipments I'm not sure, though I though there are fewer tourists lately, so they may be excited to get rid of stock...

I'm heading to Hawaii in May, I hope I can do more than one visit to each Waikiki and Ala Moana.
I have a growing list of items (non handbag/leather) that I've been accumulating, I really hope to score few goodies while I am out there. This is not my home store, I am really hoping vibrant colors and Hawaii only items.

The Hawaii stores are just like all other H stores, I don’t think there’s such a thing as “Hawaii only items”?

Few years ago, Waikiki store offered their exclusive scarf - which I turned down without even looking bc I was a ding dong.
I also should have gotten the surf board charm that I saw - still regret these two things very much.
They used to have a lot more color options for leather options?
I say all of this with a grain of salt, big hopes and dreams, the last time I was in Hawaii was October 2019.

Those were grand reopening items just for the new Waikiki store launch. Most boutiques offer a celebratory item when a new store opens but they typically sell out that first week/weeks. I don’t think there has been anything unique since then.

hello everyone, i am planning on visiting Hermès Hawaii to purchase some items while on vacation but i read that it is frowned upon by your home store if you purchase items from other H stores (especially easy to get items that you could have ordered from your home store)…

is this true? if so, shall i have DH create an account or are all accounts linked with address/credit card?

i don’t want to ruin my relationship with my home store, any advice is truly appreciated tyia

Hello,

Yes, it is frowned upon since your home store SA will be able to see your purchase from the Hawaii store and vice versa. It is best to make an account under your DH name. If you do travel without your DH, you won't be able to shop using his profile (just for future reference).
