I was in Oahu recently from October 14-21. Ive only started my Hermes journey for about a year now so please excuse me as I am still learning. I met my Hawaii SA at the Waikiki/Kalakaua location during Christmas of last year. Previously, I have only made one purchase before here at the Houston store where I live...which never has anything good really in my opinion. I purchased a pair of takara sandals and belts for my husband and I in Houston, but since meeting my Hawaii SA I only have purchased in Hawaii since last Christmas on. Since last Christmas I have been back in Hawaii 3x and have purchased 1 pair of chypre sandals, 1 pair fuzzy orans, and 1 pair of loafers for my husband. While I was there recently I went in to the store twice. On my first visit I purchased a pair of saint-germain black boots and a pair of chypre sandals for my husband...while there I hinted to my SA my wishlist, but he said it would be a long journey and one of his clients was on the waiting list and just received her B almost two years later . I left and reiterated to him how since meeting him I only shop through him and do not even visit the Houston store where I live....I also hinted that we are remodeling our house currently and after we move in I would be purchasing some home goods through him as well. Over the next couple of days I waited hoping to get a text...long-shot I know...and nothing. On my last day there before I was scheduled to fly out that night I texted him saying I wanted to stop in one last time. I purchased an o'kelly pendant and a bearn compact wallet...while there he asked me again about my wishlist and if I would consider a Constance bag...I said not really maybe if it was in noir, gold, or maybe pink but even then I'm not really sure. I had mentioned to him I was willing to try my luck in Paris...my husband and I have always wanted to go anyways and November seems like it might be an off-month there... but what do I know lol. He asked me what time my flight was and I told him 8pm and he asked me where I was off to next, I let him know I would be making my final rounds down luxury row to the stores. About an hour or so later I received a call from him asking if I could come back to the store...my heart dropped but I didn't want to get too excited...I headed back to the store. We headed upstairs and he brought out the gloves and pulled the bag out....it was a constance 18 bubblegum pink with palladium hardware believe he said the color was rose confetti but I kind of tuned him out once I saw the bag because I was so sad it wasn't a B or K. I let him know that I really appreciated him showing me the bag, but I rather it go to someone who would absolutely go crazy over this bag and it just didn't do it for me. Upon exiting I asked him if there was a specific month I might have a better chance and he said not really and that my H journey has just began so it will be a while. I reiterated that yes I know I am a newbie, but my loyalty was obviously to his store and to continue purchasing solely through him. I have family in Oahu so will be back at least 2-3 times annually...I guess I will just have to wait and see. I also stopped in Ala Moana location and they didn't seem as friendly to me and stated they had no stock due to shipping issues as well.

I just got back from Waikiki and found their stock to be reasonable. (Or at least much better than Chanel’s.) I am new to H and was paired with a lovely SA when I walked in my first day. She was able to find the perfect bag for me based on very vague descriptions of what I was interested in. It seems like their inventory is updated almost daily so you may be lucky.

Hi! I just got back yesterday. And yes, inventory is low. There are many items I wanted, but they didn't have it in stock.
Here is my Hermes journey with the Waikiki boutique.
I am from the Bay Area, and I have been working with the same SA in Waikiki since 02/2020. I didn't really have a purchase history in SF, except for a Clic H bracelet.
My first visit, I purchased a belt/buckle for my husband and oran sandals for myself. It sounded as though there was a Kelly in a pink color to offer me, but I had my heart set on something neutral. I was offered a Constance 18 in Epsom Noir with SHW, which I accepted.
A few months later, I asked about an Evelyne TPM in Etain and Pink Rodeo PM. Those were mailed to me.
Second visit was in 06/2021, I purchased a belt/buckle for myself and another pair of Oran Sandals. No offer. I am not surprised as they were super busy. I don't think I had a large enough purchase that day. Their inventory was low as well. So it was hard to find things I wanted that were available.
Third visit was this past week. I purchased 2 pairs of shoes, soy sauce tray and Hermes iWatch band and my SA said they would do their best to get something from my wish list. It sounded as though they had a Kelly in a white swift material. But again, I had my heart set on a black one.
I was texted a day later for an appointment the following day. And at that visit, I was offered my dream bag, a Kelly 25 Sellier in Noir with SHW. It's gorgeous. The stickers were not on the strap any longer, and the stickers on the front clasp is almost coming off. So I think it's been shown a few times. I also really wanted GHW, but beggars can't be choosers. I was also shown a black Rodeo touch PM, which I also snagged. I still can't believe that she is mine.
Wow! Great bag do you mind sharing with me the name of your SA? Thanks!

Going to be in Hawaii for thanksgiving. I read on this thread from a few years ago that the Waikiki store (one in royal hawaiian center) stayed open on thanksgiving. Does anyone know if that is still the case? Thanks!

Hi community! Is it OK to have an SA relationship in Hawaii + your home store? I’m going to Hawaii soon and am hoping to click with a chill Hermès SA there. Outside of my non-bag wishlist, I’m hoping to add a handful of H bags to my collection one day (P22, C24, B30, B35).

I started my H journey a few months ago with a different SA in a mainland store. They jokingly recommended that I mainly “browse” while I’m in Hawaii and to notify them of everything that I want to buy so they can place the orders for me. They highlighted in previous visits that it looks better on my profile if I maintain a relationship with 1 store, especially if I’m after bags.

However, I plan on traveling to Hawaii more often and would love to maintain an SA relationship there as well - especially if this ups my chances of getting more wishlist items. I’ve heard that Hawaii’s inventory is better compared to other mainland stores and that some Hawaii SAs are more transparent about spending requirements for bag offers.

I plan on being transparent with the Hawaii SA to get their perspective once I’m there. Would love to hear your thoughts as well.

Thanks all

I was told by an SA at H that it's best to stay loyal to one store.

My two cents, pick a store for large purchases and another for small items (beauty, clic clacs) if you REALLY want to shop at both locations. If you’re looking to be offered a quota bag an SA will usually prioritize the client that spends with them, rather than risk offering a bag, just to have the client disappear and shop solely at the second location.

That wasn’t a joke. They were communicating honestly with you while trying not to seem too aggressive but still putting you on notice that loyalty is important and if you shop elsewhere it won’t go unnoticed. I also wouldn’t trust advice from the new store on this topic as they have nothing to lose and wouldn’t be bothered at all if you nuke your home store relationship. At the end of the day, the stores are all in competition with each other for bonuses and preferred product placement so loyalty is taken very seriously.
