Congrats on the bags! I think I was at the store the same time as you and saw you looking at those bags! I really wanted a halzan but they didn’t have any. It’s a beautiful store and reminded me of BH. When I walked in, there was no line and 3 SAs available. Might try Ala Moana tomorrow.
Happy hunting tomorrow at Ala Moana! I can't go because my brain will explode if I see more tempting things to buy. The Halzan is a great bag.

I agree, I dont know why but I find Hawaii Hermes stores are just different from any other stores especially in Mainlad.

They are really friendly and I really feel happy shopping there. They welcome you genuinely and they are not complicated. I can say that they have an awesome management right there.

I’ve been to Hermes store around the world like US, Japan, Paris, Switzerland, Germany, Hongkong, but nothing feels quite like Hawaii. Good vibes:heart:

I feel the same way. My home store is BH and the SAs are nice but I felt a little rushed. Waikiki store shopping experience was stellar. I felt welcomed and I could take my sweet time. Not to mention I scored my wishlist (mini C) on my second visit. Visited the store three times during my stay (lol) Loved the experience. Will return when I am on vacay again. I do go to Hawaii at least once a year so it helps.

Hi ladies,

I saw a few posts mentioned you might have a better chance to score a quota bag at your 2nd visit, do you mean the 2nd time you visit the store during the same trip or your next Hawaii trip?

TIA!

It's possible they could be helpful the next Hawaii trip too, but I thought people in this thread specifically are referring to the 2nd time you visit the store during the same trip. It's because the SA can look out for you in this short duration while you're there.

Thanks! I was just in Waikiki and got a picotin but didn’t go in the 2nd time as I feel like my SA might be referring to my next trip for a B or K… Overall, the inventory was just okay to low…

Though nothing specific was stated, I got the feeling that SA would be willing to reach out again later to you during your visit if there was a bag that came in that you had said you were looking for. The SA I worked with asked me very specifically when I was leaving. That being said, as always, it seems like bag availability comes down to timing and luck, as it sounds like a shipment had just arrived the day before my visit and my SA knew that nothing else would be coming before I left. But if you stay longer, then chances go up! And I don't know about the whole quota bag thing, since I've heard from some others that they were told upfront that they couldn't get one if they had a regular relationship with other store, but I wasn't told this (to be clear, I absolutely mentioned that I would love my first B30 but the discussion didn't progress much further). I almost didn't bother stopping by the Waikiki store because I thought it would feel like a whole game but honestly shopping there was lovely because it felt more straightforward. I would definitely recommend stopping by. Plus there's the Ala Moana store, though I didn't go there. Just very dangerous for the wallet when you find a store with both a friendly vibe and a ton of stock!

Are you still in Oahu? Did you happen to see if there are any TPM Evelyne bags? I would love to know how your visit to the Ala Moana store was.
Have a great time!

what is the reason for not shipping bags? I've heard of people receiving bags via Fedex so I am confused. But my SA in Waikiki also told me she cannot ship bags. But I've heard of people receiving bags from Hawaii. :confused1:

Pre covid, no stores anywhere commonly shipped quota bags without serious high level approval and extenuating circumstances. They loosened this rule last year when they were desperate for sales and thought luxury shopping may be dead in a global economic crash but things went the other way and they are now tightening back up. I imagine it has three main reasons: 1) liability for shipping expensive items with less than reliable shipping companies, 2) perceived exclusivity, and 3) people who are purchasing quota bags are generally a bit freer with their spending and more susceptible to major upselling of other items which is much easier to accomplish in person. As with all things, if you spend enough, “rules” are easier to be waived…
