I'm sorry for being a dunce about this, but why are SB II called JPGs?

As far as I know it's because the first shoulder birkins were designed by Jean Paul Gaulthier. I think that technically, "JPG" should be reserved for SBI'S, but I find that many (including myself) have a tendency to refer to all Shoulder Birkins as "JPG's".
