Little late but sharing my B25 Gold GHW I received in late fall.

I will say they def have bags coming in. When I was there the main VIP room was busy with back to back clients going in…I even heard the champagne pop……my SA has never offered me champagne…guess I don’t spend enough haha. I had to take the smaller room for my offer and even while I was in there another SA tried to come in. Most recently I was there again and same thing saw two different clients get escorted to main VIP room with boxes. It is getting more and more competitive as my SA told me there are a lot of Japanese clientele who would rather try their luck in Hawaii than Japan and have the $$$ to do it.

Beautiful! Was this at the Waikiki location? My SA at Ala Moana told me the other day that they have so few bags coming in that most of their clients wait at least 2 to 3 years for a QB!

Just had a very frustrating experience at the Waikiki store. I was pressured to keep trying different items, plus a $12k jewelry piece, to spend another $25k on top of the previous $8k.

When I was checking out some of them, which would reach at least $15k in total, the SA did not mention anything about the bag. So I asked about my wishlist, including quota and non-quota bags, and was told nothing is available before my departure. I was so shocked and left the store, telling the SA that I need to think about it.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Can I switch SAs or stores? I've heard a lot of bad stories about Hermes before, but I did not expect this to happen to me because I did like the SA when we first met last time

Hawaii has gotten MUCH more competitive over the last year. They are being encouraged to not give bags more than once every three+ visits. If you spend enough, a bag will magically appear before the end of your trip (basically never during your first purchase of the trip) but the ratio is now much more in-line with the rest of the US (2-3:1 minimums for coveted quota bags). Did you end up purchasing anything and if so, approximately how much did you spend? When is your departure?

Changing SAs won't help and will only set you back. One can always change stores but again you'll be starting at zero.

I’d just buy all that stuff at my local store.

Ps loving the April Fool’s theme.

Did you end up purchasing the items for 15k?

Yes, I do. But she / he said would try, I would be less discouraged. Or at least signal before the trip is good too. But straighteard said no chance for this second trip even non quato bags seems super odd. I feel like being punished not taking the 12k item…. The key question is whether I should try the Ala Moana, if not, I would give up Hawaii as the location and build a local or Paris one

Without a very impressive spend, a first visit at Ala Moana is nearly guaranteed to be equally unsuccessful. Its basically their policy to not give bags on a first client visit. Your best bet would have been to just buy the items that you wanted at Waikiki, regardless of what they said. They like to underpromise and over deliver and would have probably called you with an offer of something before you left (assuming you are there for at least a few more days). But now that you've made it seem like you really only care about bags, Waikiki is unlikely to ever be fruitful for you, imo and ime. I'd build a relationship elsewhere at this point if I were you.

I walked away yesterday, so I only spent 8k on the last trip + remote order
Getting the first QB is always hard. I remember getting my first QB in Hawaii was a real playing game. That was my second time in the store and pre spending was about $5K. During my second visit, at the beginning I purchased a fine jewelry on the first day of arrival, and when I was checking out, the SA tested me and asked "we probably don't have the bag you want, do you still want to buy the piece?" I was hesitated, but hubby said just buy it as a anniversary gift even no bag, so I still bought it. After walking out of the store I was super disappointed and was thinking I probably shouldn't have started the H journey here.
On the following days every day I texted the SA and every day I got a reply saying "still not seeing the bag you want".
On the day before I left (flight was 8am the second day, so not able to go to store on the day of departure), I texted the SA at around 5pm as the last trial, and then got the call asking me to come to the store at 6:30pm. When I arrived, the bag was there. Not something on my wishlist, but at least a QB.

I know the game is awful. I'm not saying you should buy all $25K stuff, but not buying anything after hearing no bag is not good. My SA said they once had a client who got the QB on the first day and then returned all the stuff except for the QB on the following days, so they tend to offer the bag before you leave.

Yikes. While I know many people are after a quota bag and I’m sure SAs also know this, picking out stuff to buy and then changing mind after hearing no bag is likely going to hurt your cause. Since it’s only the second time you’re shopping with them, they don’t know you that well. They may wonder if you’d just as likely return everything after getting a bag. It’s also now more blatant that you just want a bag. I might consider starting over elsewhere.
