lailat: yes i was taking it from a cultural point of view, but also in our religion god likes you to show what you have (as opposed to hoarding it and pretending you are poor when you are not) and as ray of light said god likes to see beauty :smile1:

ray of light: love your nic sweety! do you cover your face when travelling?

i do not cover my face when i go abroad :smile1:,,,i only wear abayah and fully cover my hair..

yes costa, one world, lots of cultures, one Hermes

i love the fact there are many different cultures in the world otherwise it would be one boring place, i also like seeing how each hermes kind of differs in each country.. the one id dubai is different than the one in paris than the ones in the states (i just love how each store decorates their windows diffrently too

ray of light: me 2! but not fully the hair :smile1: im from a.d. btw, how didnt i see you in paris? the place was full of arabs more than every year!! i was there from early july till early august (almost 25 days)

haute couturess: you really should and faaast because its changing by the day..and i do think you'll enjoy it :D

Haute Couuress honestly the weather is reaaally really hot (but then again people never walk here and its air conditioned everywhere)!! My advice is to have fun and to feel safe (because its is).. There are alot of malls and gold souqs you'd probably find anything you look for (lol except bags at hermes)

Oh boy, I think it is still blazing HOT! Still 100s (mid 30s)? I think. :sunshine: Keep hydrated, and bring Sunscreen! Sounds like fun though! I would love to go!!!! You could contact Aminamina too. She would fill you in on everything.

oh Haute Couturess I just wanted to add that its ramadan right now which is the fasting month, so things are slow in the mornings and afternoon and life starts in the evening till early in the mornings. Also, most of the shops/resturants will be closed during the day.

I think shops are open in the morning but start closing at about 3 or 4.. they re-open in the evenings and stay open till about 11 or sometimes even more (especially restaurants which stay open till 5 in the morning).. hope this helps , let me know how you find the country (even though the timings are mixed up now)

i live in dubai. I was only able to buy belt from our local H store and they don't accept any more orders for birkin or kelly's since the list is full and they are still waiting for the others bags that was already on the waitlist to arrive. There are only 2 hermes store in the middle east bahrain and dubai. Best bet to buy bags will be in europe or Us... I was able to buy a H bag in europe... hope this helps
