My favourite is the BurJuman center, which is the one that has the H in it. It has a really great selection of other shops such as Dior, Chanel, etc. It's great to spend an evening wandering around after a day's sunbathing. :) The Mall of the Emirates is the biggest but I didn't see much there I liked, but there's a smaller center called... Ibn Battuta? It's really interestingly designed and there's lots of nice shops there. Apparently the Wafi mall has some great shops too, but I haven't been out there. Those would be my picks!

I think H in Bur Jurman is open Sundays, the holy day in Muslim countries is another day (Friday, I think?) so I don't think you'll have a problem. Have a safe and lovely trip! :)
:p right!!
Thanks for the advices!

Yes, definitely the BurJuman is the best and the ladies of H are really sweet .. and Mall of Emirates is kinda neat to see too with the indoor skiing place and all. Wafi Mall is third on my list but it does have a small Chanel and a few other little boutiques like Gerard Darel. Enjoy and have a great time.

Thank you all!

I went to Bur Juman Center and I loved it!

I went to Hermes and they were so friendly and lovely! There was a male SA and he was so nice!

He told me: "you are a Hermes client, right? You can tell so", and I didn't have any of my birkins with me:p

Well maybe I'm not such a good client, because I didn't buy anything, but loved the boutique and the people there. But I'm going to Paris in 4 days and I think I would like to save for FSH.....

I loved Dubai and My husband as well. We were fascinating by the elegance of the women in black! I would never imagine how chic and sexy they can look just wearing their black....(don't know the name...)

I assume you mean burka or chador. I didn't think women in Dubai sported those as much... but anyway, I'd be interested in your view after you visit, for example, Saudi Arabia.

I say that with all respect to our sisters in the Moslem world...

Thanks for starting this thread Costa! I will be going with my DH too to Dubai in November then to Paris after. I guess will be saving my cash for FSH too  Have fun in Paris and please do share your shopping finds with us. ;)

its because we have alot of differently designed sheila and abayas to complement the clothes we wear under and to match our bags =) thaaaank you so much for your kind words btw

Along the lines of the covering up .... did you know that in London the owner Al Fayed prohibits the covering of the face? It's supposedly because he wants the salespeople to be able to see the face of the customer to see fi they are happy or not with their service/purchase. I never heard that before. I thought it was fascinating since he is muslim too.

haute couturess: i dont think thats true, if you go to london especially in the summer then you'll see alot of women who cover their whole face (also a numer of these older women are from the royal families)

Ys, I've seen many of them in London shopping area, in Harrods as well, all covered up. The only thing that I thought was a little strange is how last time I saw some at the make up stands, but they wont be able to try anything on all covered up nor do make overs. :confused1:
